And the next issue. Caught the bumper on the kerb whilst reversing into the garage. It's ripped out the wing so that's just great.

Booked on for a 10-4 track day on Sunday at Knockhill to get the year started and with the weather being cracking today it didn't take much of an excuse to go out and get started.

Firstly I washed it since it was rank rotten after not being done for a decent while


Then later on in the day I got back to it and did a full spanner check and changed the front brakes over to the DS1.11 but by then the kids had come to join the fun. May as well make the most of the older one becoming useful!


And get the wee one interested in shitty clios and start ruining her life.



And also came into this thread to get the spec list for my insurance renewal so I'll update that too

Just cut down fog light holders and deflector plates atm. Will do proper ducts in time.

Is brake cooling an issue when the runs are so short?

f**k cars. Like f**k them.

Did a 8 lap warm up, came in and checked everything over, all good so back out and did a few more. Did 21 laps in total then bang, no drive.

Thankfully it was just after going into 3rd and just before the pit entrance so I flung it in. @Djw Dave had literally just parked and saw me pushing it in.

Think the circlip has failed again and no way to fix that so towed it home. There were some funky noises coming from the box on the way home so that's scrap now.

Fml. f**k clios. f**k.




Thanks Dave, @John Lindsay, Henny and the others for the help pushing it back to the paddock. Only positive is I avoided a tow of shame off the track and also managed a new pb of 61.9 seconds. It was driving so nicely ??

A mere month and a few days later I've finally done something!


Yup, pushed it into the garage.

But then last night I decided I should really confirm that it was the circlips breaking that caused the failure. Having picked up both my refurbed boxes that lunchtime I was massively glad to see this



Decided now is a good a time as any to upgrade the arb and rack bushes so did a bit more than just lowering the subframe
