Re: Possible new splitter found!!

How many screws are people using on these and its there much to cut off the splitter?

Gonna fit mine at the weekend and just want an idea.

I cut the raised lugs off the back so it sits flat on the bottom of the bumper, then used 19 screws to fit it. I also made a small triangular cut on each corner on the back edge to help it tuck round the tightest part of the bumper corner.

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

I wondered about the lugs and guessed it would need a few screws - cheers.

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

I'm going to fit one when the insurance will pay for a new bumper, thanks for the heads up!

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

Wasn't sure about this, but for the price I thought I'd go for it. I haven't fitted it perfectly, but it looks ok and I'm not actually sure whether I prefer this or the Cup splitter in all honesty.

Think it looks better in the flesh so to speak, but for £11.79 or whatever - total steal!

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

just ordered mine. sounds stupid but would one fit on the back of a 172?

I suppose it would, in a similar way to how we used to put the Golf Driver splitters on the back of big bumper Gti's, but I'm not sure what it would look like.

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

for that price sure it's a bargain,
the part number should be the same on other country like Portugal right?

thanks!

Re: Possible new splitter found!!

Original pictures aren't working, did the people who fit them line it up then drill through both the splitter and the bumper?

When I did mine the other week, I drilled small pilot holes in the splitter first, then lined it up and used self tap screws to bumper, seemed to work o.k

and to squibby, you the man, morotline dartford (do skoda and renault parts) already knew what I wanted, I went to get some renault parts, and then said oh and I need a part for a skoda....... he said what the splitter! lol

Anyone know how long it normally takes a dealer to get a part in? Or do they stock them? Cheers
