Plasma TV gurus - need help in choosing

Chaps,

Just had a request from the MD to help pick a plasma screen for his home. Must be 52"+ and have additional surround sound speaker options.

He also wants a blu-ray player to go with it and the usual SkyHD.

If anyone has some recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I pretty much a n00b on large TVs!

Cheers,
D.

Oh by the way. Tell the pikey to tech-the-f'uck-up and forget any audio from the TV. He needs a big-ass amp and speakers to go with that telly, or else he IS an idiot ;)

Chaps - anything missing from the shopping list:- ???

  • PDP-LX6090 TV
  • PDP-S64 - Side speakers
  • PDP-S65 - Undermount speaker
  • BDP-LX91 - Reference BD-Live Blu-ray disc player
  • PDA-V100HD - HD AV Converter
  • PDK-WM03 - Wall mount bracket
Decided on keeping the 'design' flush rather than having satellite speakers about the place. It's for the kitchen after all!

Just unsure of the Blu-ray player. Pioneer's website has quite a few options available.....

Cheers,
D.

Don't think you can use the PDA-V100HD - HD AV Converter with the 6090, think that only works with the KRP600m model, but i may be wrong?
Also not sure about having side speakers aswell as the undermount speaker. Not much point in that tbh. Better off getting an AV amp to do all the video/audio switching and getting somthing like B&W FPM5's and a PV1 sub in black.
Will look and sound far better.
