O rings on fuel connector?

Car  Clio 182
On the fuel connector that connects the fuel line to the fuel rail my black o ring has ripped since changing the injectors... I noticed this when the engine cut out tonight, the black o ring was half sticking out...

I ripped it off and plus the connector back in. Will this be strong enough with just the orange o ring or do I need another? Cheers!

buy that and either use it or take the ring off it to use.

I'm sure I have a spare connector in the garage including O ring, could check for u tmw if thats what you need.
Cheers mate, if you could get the black o ring off without tearing it I'd be gratefull. But again it's not as simple as changing the connector as the pipe it's connected to is heat shrunk to it...

Cheers for the link mate it looks good but the actual pipe that connects to the connector is heat shrunk to the connector?
Yeah, I found that but thats why I said take the o ring off it. There was no way I could get the old connector off and the pipe would be too short of you cur the connector off it so I took the O ring off it.

Ok cheers mate. Hopefully my mechanic friend can get me an o ring on its own they are only pennies... If not I'll buy that!

Does anyone know the size of the rings for this?
Funnily enough I need to get one of these O rings. I gave my last connector away - typical.
If you have no luck do you want to go halves on a connector from Ktec from the link near the top. They come in a pack of two.

Being part of the fuel system does the o ring need to be made of anything special or will a normal bog standard o ring do?

Could do I was hoping to get i this weekend. I might look in halfrauds first seen if they do a selection of o rings. You can buy Viton O rings on ebay but you need to know the sizes and no one seems to know

Id hazard 6mm but get a selection around that number

I'll buy a few different sizes and once I know what size I can finally post the answer so everyone knows and a link again haha

Hope this is useful for anyone in the future. I bought the K-tec fuel connectors to replace the o-ring and have measured the size to save everyone a few £.

Internal Diameter - 7.5mm

Perhaps a mod can add this post to the bottom of the injector change guide?
