New Clio 182 - Blanked off engine breather help!

  106 1.5 diesel
Hello all! My mate has just bought a 182 from, I assume a pikey, because it's pretty rats... But it's for the track so he's not too bothered. He's found on inspection, two breather pipes that have been blocked off for some unknown reason. Could anyone tell me what they're for so I can either tell him not to worry about it or so I can re-instate what's supposed to be connected. I only have photos of the two breathers in question (one at the front of the inlet manifold near the throttle body and one behind) at the moment so hopefully that's enough info for you. Cheers

The bit of blue pipe is fine as it is , it went to the acoustic valve which has now probably been removed .
With regards to the upper one at the rear , that was once for the charcoal canister which again has probably been removed.
Both are fine dis-connected
Below is a pic of the pipe at the back.
