What you thinking? It’s an awesome and what looks to be a very clean car. But yeah worth more to you.

And people allways value things at 50% less, well unless it’s their car lol.

And don’t forget actual people. They make car selling emotional.

Looks great Ollie, it still scrubs up well

Still can't believe you only paid £120 for the brace and mounts, that is a proper bargain!

Oh yeah, and i HATE!! selling cars. Just keep it :up:lol!

I’d advertise it around £5250 but there’s alway movement on the price.

Shame you didn’t post this a couple of months ago, one of our lot was after a turbo but there wasn’t any local so ended up buying Joe Meekings orange one. Sure it will sell tho, not many about in that colour.

Credit to you mate, lovely motor!
Thanks mate, it’s had a fair few pennies spent on it.

Still in to minds tbh, not seen many Monaco turbos at all. Plenty of RBs tho...

Right new year new car and all that... not really still same old boosted Monaco messing with other driver emotions since June 2017 haha

Not done a great deal with the old girl in a long while, just sourcing parts at the moment.
Currently I have PMS mounts/brace and some Eibach camber bolts still to go on. I’m after a decat pipe to get rid of the sport cat, a mocal oil cooler and a remap tweak.

This year I’m also going to try and fit a oil temp/pressure and boost gauge in where the clock is and hopefully source some sort of seat upgrade trendlines, cs sport seats or possibly come corbeau club sports.

I’m undecided on what to do with the gold oz f1s, the little voice in my head is saying sell them for some 2118s but they do look so good imo... not that I’m biased haha

Any ways that’s where she’s at... opinions and comments welcome

Standard 172's or 2118's (with coilovers) and leave it as it is for me mate :)

Great, great car :)

I’ve got a Cobra Suzuka, a Sparco Circuit seat and a 5 point blue harness if your interested?

I like the standard wheels to, in dark grey they would look awesome.

I think keep the OZ's in the gold if your keeping the current suspension set-up, BUT if still after 2118's you'll need more low's as only 15's as mentioned before. This is the perfect excuse for coilovers!!

Plans sound goooooooood

I’d be a matching pair but thanks though mate, another vote for standards...

I do like to oz, I think with the pms mounts it’ll bring the front down a little more so potentially no need for coil overs if I do go with 2118s.

Gold looks good dependant on the shade of blue and gold lol.

Right... French car problems...
75E0440F-BFE1-4648-924A-89FC5CBC4C0B.jpeg

The puddle at the front is just that, not car related thank god! The issue I was having is the pms shifter catching on a heat shield every time I went into 3rd, so up on the ramps to fold back the offending shield which cured the problem.
Next issue was again a pms part but this time the brace and mounts. As some of you may have read in the technical section I thought my brace was damaged as it had a 3rd bend!
I took it into work this afternoon and utilised the hydraulic press and levelled it out as best I could. Forgot to get pics of this but hopefully it’ll be going on the car Tuesday night.
So the rest of today was spent on the oz f1s...
DFF502B0-4B8F-4141-818C-23C431C0C02C.jpeg

Full iron out clean, 2 coats of auto finesse mint wheels wax and a coat of good old turtle wax nano tech tire shine. I really am still in two minds as to what to do with these... sell or keep?
Apart from the above cars filthy, desperate need of a deep clean but trying to put it of aslong as possible due to the fact the car is well protected under the crap.

Oh what that's a bit crap about the brace!! I'll now go and have a read in the technical section  Hopefully it'll be on and sorted soon though!

Those OZ's look fresher than new there!!

So today I almost swapped my 172 alloys plus £200 for a set of these...
43F8BF81-ED1A-447F-A5F3-17A7195F90CC.jpeg

7j 16” et35 cb 60.1mm with RainSport3s on, the guy was happy with the condition of my wheels... I’d cleaned them, waxed them and shined them good...
829CD08C-E7BD-4726-AFF3-56A49985EB43.jpeg

But a deal wasn’t done as they weren’t as in good as condition as I hoped for which I was gutted about.
So with my car up on stands I decided to do a deep clean of all the arches, the whole car and refit my OZ wheels.

She was filthy...
3975EE5D-58FA-4985-A8CA-59B00823CF3B.jpeg

I started under the arches and cleaned up my calipers, sprayed the whole body with citrus cleaner, let do it’s work and pressure washed off. I was really happy with how mint it was under all the dirt. The layers of wax applied in November definitely helped protect the paint.

Next came the snow foam and a shampoo...
1E67FA43-F695-4BA2-8F58-80219F7EB3BE.jpeg

Finally back on the ground sitting on the F1s having had a coat of triple3 and some spray wax. It feels some much nicer to drive now the spacers are off too.
AEB8244F-5FE1-489E-B57E-267897958894.jpeg

Finally a shot of her on the drive home tonight having been out to the local Sunday night car meet. All products used through out the washing process are Auto Finesse, I highly rate their products to anyone who hasn’t used them before!
Hopefully the PMS brace and mounts will be going on Tuesday with the Eibach camber bolts then over to a local company to be set up. If anyone can recommend camber an toe settings for fast road that would be great. I hear 1.5 camber and 12mins toe out is good?

Looking minty fresh buddy, I think keeping the Oz's is an absolute must even if 2118's come along as you said. Looks awesome in that 'after' photo

I think i'm going to have to invest in some of the Auto Finesse stuff!

So after a couple of months of waiting to get them fitted I can finally say the mounts, brace and camber bolts are on!! Once again much thanks to my Renault mechanic friend who supplied all the needed tools after I supplied him with pizza.

Eibach camber bolts fitted too...

Back after the test drive, car feels tight and precise handling wise but I need to get the geo checked and setup. With the new PMS mounts it’s lowered the car about 10mm-ish and can clearly see the camber and that the wheels look “tucked” haha.
I’m going to get 1-1.5 degree an 12mins toe out on a set up.

Finally the Insta pic to show the PMS sticker... haha
I really like how the bay is looking now, I know it won’t be to everyone’s taste but owell,
I tell people it’s not a shopping list... it’s a receipt list!

I do love the ED kit, it looks like it left the factory like that - I don't think mine has the ED branding on the hoses so it's even more factory looking.

It does look good, if I’d have known it was an option I’d probably have gone without logos too.

Here she is in the cold light of day before I went to APT in Norwich this afternoon.
She’s definitely lower on the front I think...

And the results... It drives even better than it did before the mounts an brace now, I love how it handles and feels through the steering.
C5F6D0DB-2C5D-4A98-BBF2-FCE2B8424E73.jpeg

I didn’t get any post shots as it was hammering down when I get home. So now to start saving for next mods... seats or oil cooler/decat/remap or 15” alloys??

Great stuff bud, nice to see all has gone well........... to me, the car almost looks like it's got coilover lows now especially at the front, it sits very well indeed  makes mine look high now!!!! 🙈 How much did APT charge you for the geo set up?

Can only imagine how it handles now!!

Have to get them side by side to compare, I’ll take you out for a blast when I’m home an let you have a go.
APT charged £80, Shawn Taylor Racing wanted £150-200 depending how much they did to it.

Car looks wicked. Love the engine bay (apart from the stickers but that's my personal preference).

As mentioned above, the ED kit does look very OEM+. Also the mounts do make it look lower. Every clio with cooksports I see looks great on the rear, but the fronts always look too high. Yours looks spot on. Oh and it looks better with the f1s back on. Would love to have seen it on the C/M's but it obviously wasnt a good enough deal.

Spacers next?

Looks great on those wheels  I also think they would look great in silver/light anthracite
