1) Take car to a proper dealer/specialist and bung them £50 to diagnose problem and write it on headed paper.

2) Take car and headed paper with faults to this ''Engine Rebuilder'' and tell him to sort it under warranty.

3) Done.

I think James at JMS has already politely declined to get involved.

Translated, he does not have a barge pole long enough.

horrendously bad show on so many counts here.

simple advice and its all going by the way side, this coupled with trawling a few random garages for advice on the matter, which is just causing more issues.

I think the 'biscuit taker' is the swap deals, the internet and pistonheads especially are patrolled by many people who look for cars/ deals and the like, as has been shown by the few examples of people have posted in here witha 182 cup/tt/ merc.

The man up option here would be go with mark fish at his £58 an hour and ask for guidance and documentation to be produced. Ask for a full diagnostic report, call the guys who rebuilt it and advise that there are problems which you have had checked with another specialist and see what remedy can be found.

Digging a bigger and bigger hole on here is just silly as people have now started justifiably laughing their head off at you and its fuelled by a insistance on ignoring advice and just wading in with silly comments and getting found out on so many fronts.

Your idea of breaking it may come into play if your feel the costs of repair are prohibitive to you, however based on the performance in this thread I doubt many will trust you.
