my 172 cup not as fast as it use to be?

Now that there is abit of dry road, iv noticed my 172 cup is not as fast as it use to be before the rebuilt. And its not because im driving the VXT as a 2nd car, i pretty sure of it, even the GF noticed she dont get pull back to the back like before,
The pervoius own said it was superchipd and iv got an invoice for it. And one know how i can get the power back. Id be happy to meet sum1 with a clio RS to test and confirm it, or compare it to another clio rs

also it feels as 5000rpm is the max it can take before it needs a gear charge. Engine gets really loud as if ur on the redline. Is this normal?

Got oil in it this time?

This time?? I can't keep count of the threads the berk has started about his cup ''that doesn't feel right''.

I am willing to put money on it that he hasn't taken it to a proper independant mechanic.

Everyones so harsh to the poor fellow, I feel a bit sorry for him...:eek:

I'd be happy to meet up in a few weeks and compare (when I get one) but yeah, as others have asked, who did the work? If it was anyone other than a specialist I don't understand why you'd do that? Specialists are not only normally cheaper but actually know exactly what they are doing...

It was rebuilt by a rebuilt specialist, they have been doing only rebuilds for 30yrs.
I dont cum on here to crack jokes, only to share my car problems, and to get support.

Its a hot hatch. its for thrashing. If it doesn't get thrashed theres no point in having it.

If you wern't in London i'd gladly meet up with you and see if yours is as quick as it should be or not. I'm sure somebody will help you out.

TBF, I think the point being made is that it's not a good idea thrashing a car that is clearly ill. I could be wrong though.

TBH You've probably killed it. Tolerances after an engine rebuild are very tight, so you need to break it in gently rather than thrashing it from the off. Then you post saying it doesn't seem right. So you carry on thrashing it.

I'd print this thread off and send it to Essex Engines or whatever they're called, but that's effort.
 
I'm confused now. So has anything been done to the car since the last thread, or have you just been leathering it around ever since? Maybe I've missed a thread.

The engine's fucked and he's saying its very noisy over 5k LOL! This thread is even funnier now i've had a good nights sleep!

this one aint for sale
All another problems had been sorted since other treads, it was the exhaust under the gearbox, someone at a garage must of reversed on a kerb and theexhaust got pushed forwards, all mounts were fine.

But if this Pully is anything got to do with vtec, then it must be the problem, if it needs doing il see a pro this time, markfish or JMS.
 
There's an exhaust under the gearbox that caused the engine to run low on oil? It has vtec? You have more than one Cup? Even more confusing.
