Yeah. You do feel a hooligan if there's a rake of families enjoying a day out and you come over the brow all WRC!

Lol. Cheers . I keep looking out for an RS but never see it.... I'm assuming your in the clio?
You won't see me in it now till weekend, I'm in Kent with the clio. So if you see it, it'll be the wife.

No problem. I'm familiar with crickhowel, brecon, Ystradgynlais and abergavenny areas. Not so much built wells, llandovery etc.

Not sure what your researching this for Tim but this is food for though:

My God that's a superb little run! Worth a diversion, or maybe on your way home?
@SharkyUK actually reminded me of the run at the spring action day, he was discussing classic routes with a friend of his. So cheers Andy.
So on the way home I took this route. I've driven it before.... but never properly driven it
It was by far the best, most intense drive I've had in the clio, actually, any car!

Pushed it very hard but I loved every minute. Responds so well to a hard drive on the track tyres! Its epic.
I did it in the Audi the other day afterwards, were a lot of cars around to spoil it though, and to be honest it wasn't a spot on the clio anyway. Such a buzz driving the clio on a road like that.

So if your in the area (it's about 20 mins from llangynidr area, 15 mins from abergavenny) it's the B4235 between usk and chepstow. Raglan to usk is just usk road.

Might as well share some other routes for yourself and others to enjoy. B4521 c7aff6962167c72575f02dc5bb368b29.jpg
Another superb run. On of my favourites! Very very good run. Its great if your crossing over to England as you can use it as a short cut and an amazing blast all in one

Thanks Dan, I'll check those routes out in more detail. It's for a drive I'm planning with a few South Central friends. I say drive, it's an 800 mile / 3 day experience of Wales' finest blacktop

Those roads are brilliant mate. You won't be disappointed! Not much in way of scenery, apart from the tre castle route, just pure driving joy!

No worries mate. I'm gagging to get the Trophy back and to just go out and drive this route (and others). I'm missing my driving massively. It's pretty much one of my main hobbies / pleasures in life! Pfft. LOL!

Don't really realise how lucky I am living on the edge of the beacons, some amazing roads around, and no need to break the speed limit either most the time.

Just waiting for a lad to get back to me to confirm spots. Then I'll put up a list with postcodes

Here's a map but the way it was created means it can't be used to navigate but it does show you where you are in relation to the route. If you open it in thr google maps app and press the box with the car and road names it should pop up.

Looking forward to this. Weather's showing cloudy which is fine.

Just sent my donation. PayPal was being a t**t so had to do debit card.

Route looks good. I'll have to drive to merthyr from Brynmawr to merthyr meet point then drive back up same road, lol. At least I'll be in the initial meet shots

I'll bring my action cam and see if I can get some footage too. Not that I can edit for s**t.... still haven't edited my snowboard holiday and that was weeks ago.

Don't worry about not being able to edit. I'm s**t too Haha. If anyone is handy with editing I'm sure we could set up a group cloud storage that everyone can put they're vids in for someone to make something

@Tim. Sorry for not getting back to you mate, I've been stupid busy with work and not around as much as I'd have liked.
Anyway do you still need a hand with a couple of roads? I can drop you a PM if you like
A lot of Tesco petrol stations will give you access to a pressure washer if that'll help you? I'd say you're welcome to stop here lol but I don't want to piss my neighbours off with a motorcade of Clios! There's a Tesco in Upper Boat, Pontypridd with a car wash and there's a hand wash option there too.

I'll be up early cleaning my car. Lol.
My neighbors must think/know I'm a sad b*****d. Only a few weekends back I was cleaning it in the rain at 8pm the day before the spring action day.

Glad your coming @Bug even if the cars not 100%

    @dajones
Rather than us taking the A470, the B4520 to Builth Wells is a rather great road. (The one in red)
It's all twisty and lots of fun. Though the A470 is a much faster road to Builth.

Bit of a late minute addition but I thought I'd throw it out there!

That sounds like plenty of track time to me anyway. Any more I'd be paranoid of crashing/breaking the car. Especially with the long drive home too.

    I don't mind any route.

We will have a chat in the morning before we set off lads. I am pretty sure we are taking the B4520 Brecon to Builth road. As for a stop in Builth, Burger King is planned but depends on how many cars show up in the morning.

You'll have to ignore my skirt then... I have only had time to put one on so far and it's fitted terrible. It's far from finished

Edit: I have two new skirts and wings to fit also that are original paint.

Yeah to be honest, i was constantly worried about the car in terms of breaking something and crashing, if it was local in combe for example and something broke i could get home easy enough, out theres a different story even though i took out recovery cover i still wouldnt want the hassle

Its fine lol, be good to have a look anyways
