Lowering

Can Someone tell me sum pros and cons of lowering my car.

I plan on buying some 17s soon and i was wondering is lowering absolutly neccessary.

as sum1 got a pic of a clio on 17s not lowered

as sum1 told me that if i decided to lower my car that it would wear out my shocks within a year coz the car not designed for the replacement springs and the new ride height is there any truth in this?

wouldnt know coilovers are a complete kit

the shocks will fail quicker but renault shocks are crap anyway, cheapest way is springs @ £60ish then after that apex @£200ish then onto coilovers starting at £400

Ill be honest mate... 17s without any lowering will make your car look like a 4x4... Mine was lowered 60mm on 17s at one point and i still felt it was too high... If your planning on getting 17s plan on getting it lowered along with it....

Thats my car just after i put my 17s on-i need to get it lowered ASAP but its a case of affording it..or not being able to.

Still unsure how much to do it by, thinking 30mm so its not too low
