Driveshaft surcharge / disposal.

Just replaced my driveshaft with one off eBay. When you buy them from ECP you have a surcharge because they want your old one back. Should I just bin the old shaft or can I take to a factors and get cash for it? Seems a waste and not very eco friendly to just bin it. Even if I won't get cash for the old shaft would a factors want it to send back?

They won't give you money for it. The surcharge is a refund you get back after buying one from them.
