The BCs look like a cracking bit of kit mate.

What size spacer are you going to run in the rear?

Im not sure mate. Robs looks great how it is and he runs 10mm so I may do the same. I shall have a play on the fronts. I've got the old vmaxx on which I can compare.

They do look a nice price of kit tbh. @TheEvilGiraffe what setting have you set the damping on?

Haha, you need to stop looking in here! But you'll be back ;)

Need to get me some commission on these BCs

Look at it as inspiration ;)

Got the BC's fitted yesterday.

Got a PM from @Weeksy on Friday night saying that he had some nuts that I needed after I put up a wanted thread. Brilliant as he is fairly local and I was going to fit them Saturday morning, so I shot up to he's place on the morning to collect them. Top bloke and very passionate. Was nice to meet you mate :)

I kept my old ABS bracket off my old coilovers so I gave them a quick shot blasting and a lick of paint to protect them

Then I moved to the rears and decided I would polish up the can of the stealth box on the buffing wheel. I didn't bother going crazy as it's got quite a few scuffs on it, I just wanted it to have a bit of a shine. Plus these are heavy when holding it up against a polishing wheel! The wheel could only get in so many areas but I knew I could tackle the rest with some autosol.

Put it all back together along with the BC rears but forgot to get some pics but I wanted adjust the height which I did today.

I wound the front coilover bodies down until the base was flush with the base of the strut and set the damping to 10 clicks from the softest setting

Bloody lovely!!

Nice coilies too :approve:

Thanks Stef. They are rather nice tbf, much better than the Vmaxx.

Every time I look at this thread I wished I had got a ph1 :(

Looks great. I actually prefer this to your old 182. Good work.

And you loved my BG! Thanks mate, means a lot :)

For me it was an itch that needed scratching. I love it!

I look at your project too much mate, that's what it is

I was going to do the full system but I thought there's no point as it'll discolour straight away. I will probably go over it again with an abrasive wheel first then repolish it, but not for a while.

So far I'm impressed. They are much better than the Vmaxx. I took it up the road yesterday and they felt pretty decent holding the roads. They've settled a bit and they rub so I'm going to raise it up a tad but I'm glad I got them. AlexW came round last night and had a drive so I'm sure he'll give he's review too.

Haha, it made sense to try and protect the bracket a bit more. This is all your fault ;) :)

looks lovely mate, really coming together :)

Slowly getting there Russ :)

looking good mate

that backbox looks amazingly shiney too:D

I knew the polishing wheel would get the better of me! No polished engine bay though.

Not at all mate! Its nice to speak to people with the same interests :)

You could always just spray the badges silver for the time being. Also put up a wanted thread as the normal handles sell for pennies.

Ordered those spacers yet? ;)

What handles does he want, the sliver ones?

What spacers, 20mm fronts?

Jekyll

Got out this morning I adjust the height again. I've raised the coils 1.5 turns and raised the damper 10mm up from the strut. I also decided to shave the seats this morning to remove some bobbling, this time without cutting the leather

I also decided to spray my grab handles to refresh them. Will add pics soon :)

No he has the silver ones on but it's an exclusive so I was unsure on wether they were meant to be or have ones like you and I.

Yes Scott, 20mm. Feel free to convince him ;)

I will, he can buy my M.A.D ones. :)

Mark, what spacer did you put into the rear?

Can you post some better picts so i can judge the heights please.

Pretty much how it did before Scott. I'll get a pic later on for you when I refit my grab handles if you want?

I haven't touched the rear shocks but they are height adjustable too so it seems :)

Haha, no Dan, doing this one was enough!

Height as it currently is. It was hard to pic the tape measure but it is 60mm from the base of each end gold collar.

And painted handles. Not perfect but I'm happy with them. They look better than the scuffed looked but they are much brighter than the center console. It also is not a colour match for iceberg, it looks more like titanium! I will eventual get new ones but I had some paint so it hasn't cost me any money for the time being :)

Great work mate, I don't think you will end up buying new handles mate.

When I phone Renault they where £160 for a pair. :(

Pictures of how it sits are the rear will ve good. :)

Has this had the front end painted?

The front wings look a different colour to the doors? Or is it just the pictures?

Loving the work your doing on this recently Mark! those grab handles have come up well. The coilies look like a worthwhile upgrade

Im happy with both the handles and BC's mate. Both better than what it was previously :)

It has had a front end respray at some point but its a very good colour match. It's probably more the pics as you can see on the above pic how the paints looks different at either end of the car compare to the middle in certain lights.

Not any major plans anytime soon but I'd like to start replacing knackered bushes and ball joints and parts that generally need replacing. The next thing will be discs and pads all round with new fluid change. I've got a spare set of calipers so I shall refurb them with new seals and paint them silver before I put the new discs and pads on.

The bodywork need attention but that will wait till next year.
