I didn't know that. Well ill see what it looks like with the stickers on but if it looks poo then I might have a word with autocrash or spray shack on here to see how much it is to get the bullets done properly. The stickers are on there way so its no harm trying them out.

I have some smooth bullets Mark, the clips are broken so they do need silicone'ing on but it's no issue really. You're welcome to them for nothing.

That wouldn't be too much of a problem. Ill see how theses stickers look on the ones I've already got and if I'm not happy with them then ill chat you up mate :)

Stunning car mate, looks immaculate....Bet your well chuffed with it..Hope to see you at CSS2013

I do love it mate. I'm rather attached to it. It's far from immaculate though. It's got chips, scratches and swirls that the camera doesn't pick up but I'm aiming to eventually sort it all out. Yes ill be at CSS this year, ordered tickets a few weeks ago :)

Got my wheels nuts come through the post this morning. I thought i ordered black but when i checked the order I actually ordered grey! But the colour is really nice. Hopefully it'll will look nice next to the anthracite 2118's. Ill get some pics tomorrow.

I also managed to get a set of cup washer blanks off a member on here. There in mondial blue so ill spray them bg and lacquer them. While the bumper is off to fit the blanks I think ill wet & dry my carbon fog surrounds and relaquer them, just to get rid of some of the chips :(

Hopefully if I get a decent wage this month I'm going to treat myself to another carbon splitter.

Where can I get loctite for the studs from? I had a look in my local halfords but they don't sell it. Is it only an Internet thing or is there shops where joe public can buy it?

I managed to sort it out in the end mate so no need to worry. Although when i took the old ones off i see that they had been bonded on. My ones wouldn't fit completely flush at the top due to the old silicone that was there before that i couldn't remove.

Anyway the stickers came through so i did the same thing again like on my clock stickers having the silver as a shadow and the red on top.

The colour is very close to the 2118's which is nice

And a quick mock up. I think they look quite subtle being 40mm.

Once i get some loctite i'll get them fitted. I might even look into getting some 5mm spacers from dan@mad.

As said in the other thread I think those bullets look brilliant! The studs are nice and subtle too. Definitely not a bad thing they're grey instead of black :)

  TT QS
Yeah I think the bigger ones (50mm) would look a bit too much. Where did you get your loctite from for your nuts and studs and what type did you get?

I sent my dad out to get some and I believe it was just some for metal threads from car spares. He's asleep now and I'm not sure where he's put it.

Yeah I pleased with the studs. Looking forward to getting them fitted. Once I've done so and I'm happy ill send you the TPI ones :)

Washer blanks turned up today. They'll be going bg as I've still got some in a can and fitted possibly next week. It's a bumper off job I know but I thought they bolted on, however looking at the rear of them I'm not sure. Do they look snapped/broken?

Having another read on the net and 638 loctite will be ok for my studs so ill hopefully tackle them in the morning.

Cheers Sam :) The just need silicone'ing back on at the front due to all the old cr*p behind it that i couldn't remove. I tried taking a pic to show it. Its only the passenger side, drivers is fine.

Anyway i managed to fit the wheels studs this morning. While the front wheels were off i tried getting a pic of the bullets to show the red matching with the red wilwood stickers. Still looks orange as my phone doesn't seem to capture it right.

The best BG 182 on here mate.

Looks great and the stud's look subtle and much better than the TPI bolts.

In response to your question on the washer blanks, yes the lugs are snapped off both. Should fit fine with some tiger seal or similar though.

Mark am i reading this wrong you have you snapped off the lugs from your nuts (40mm short ones) and are gluing with tiger seal then fitting bolts with some blank washers and 5mm spacers :approve: nice pics keep them coming.

Thats what I thought. I don't mind bonding them on though as I plan not to take them off.

Haha, yeah well wrong!! My TPI bolts were not in the condition I wanted them in and I wanted to convert to studs as it makes changing the wheels easier as I can just slide then on rather than lining up the bolt holes for the bolts. I've bought some new 40mm lugs/nuts seen in the pics. Ill be fitting 5mm spacers all round having purchased slightly longer studs to do so. Ill be tiger sealing the blanks as the backs are slightly broken on the clips so they need to be bonded onto the bumper. Ill keep the pics coming though mate :)

High five mate, big improvement with the studs, bet it makes life so much easier putting the wheels back on does it :)

I took a pic of the washer blanks fitted as had my bumper off today and remembered about your post, will post a pic tomorrow

Yeah it does Chris. Lining up the wheels and the hub holes with the discs then putting the wheels on and the disc moves can be a right PITA. Not anymore though :) It doesn't look as flush as having bolts but due to it being easier i can live with that :)

Yea Steve, that would be great if you could. I know there's a guide on here about blocking off the old washer pipes so ill have a look for that too.

Sorry for crap pic, iphones for you. Its sort of like a nut on the end, prob be best to just bond the blank in place.

I ordered some 5mm spacers off Dan@Mad on here to go all round on the car. Ordered them on Friday and they turned up sat morning! Top service there :) I decided to go 5mm just to give my wheels that little bit extra, being et43. I was originally looking at 15mm/20mm but seeing loads of pics I felt they was too much so ill just stick with it being subtle.

Ill fit them some time this week. I also finished off my washer blanks. I started painting them the other day but run out of paint so I shot up to my local spray shop again and got a can of bg and tube of tiger seal. Got home and gave them a few good coats of paint followed by 4 coats of lacquer. Once dry I used 2500 grit to flatten them then t-cut to get them shiney. They were quite chipped from previous owner so although I took them back to the bare plastic, the chips are still indented. Hardly noticeable but they are there. Im really pleased with them though tbh

If the weather is decent then hopefully ill be fitting them on Sunday. I also bought a roll of headlight film as its something that I've been thinking of doing for a while. I went for a light smoke. Ill shall do this when the bumper is off while doing the washer blanks.

Great effort with the blanks mate :)

With the headlight film it's quite hard to bend it around the curves of the headlight. I ended up with a few ripples in mine and ended up peeling it back off. I'm sure you will do a better job though, just a heads up!

Thanks Jamie. Looking froward to putting them on, think it will tidy the front end up. Also cheers for the heads up. Yeah ill just take my time on it I think. Got instructions so ill just follow them rather than jumping straight in. The roll only cost £12 in delivery so if it fails its not going to be a great loss.

Did you take your lights off to do yours or keep them connected? Also you got those bolts fitted yet? ;)

I haven't ever done it on a clio. Did it with lamin-x on some side repeaters for a polo and some fake lamin-x on some rear lights on an mx5. For both we completely removed them from the car purely because it made life easier.

Although there handed and slightly curved they don't fit completely flush, so I taped some masking tape on the slightly raised parts and left it to settle.

Ah ok mate. Mine was not actual lamin-x tbh. Ill give it a go, but if it doesn't work then ill just remove it.
