Ordered some studs this week. Top service from demon tweeks taking 2 days to come through :)

Measured my old bolts both the full length and thread

I ordered 16x m12x1.5x60mm studs. This is the length of the full studs.

The reason i bought this size is there long enough to add a small spacer if desired. Im also looking at getting some open ended lug nuts to go on the end, so even if i dont decide to get spacers then the nuts wont bottom out, being open all through.

Also did this this week :(

Caught it on a higher than high speed bump. I lost half of it up the road!

The remains

I will order another carbon one so im not sure whether to buy a skoda one for the time being or just hold out for a k-tec one pos next month.

Ordered my wheel nuts last night. I went for these as I though they looked nice and was open ended but quite short (40mm) so that they don't look ott.

Sorry, didn't see you replied. It really is a bit gutting about the tpi bolts. I think mine have happened from a torx gun.

The stud conversion looks very nice indeed though. I wouldn't mind doing one.

did you get them from ebay mark? got to be careful on there as my mate bought some and were cheap copies and chewed right up

That's ok mate. Thats why I wanted the studs and also it makes changing the wheels a lot easier. The TPI ones are quite week.

Cable tie the splitter back together Mark ! Use red ones to tie in with the red/black theme ;)

Haha roll ghetto style! Although I only have 3 of 4 parts of the splitter :(

Subtle with the wheel bolts - I like it. I'd just roll without a splitter for the time being, however I can see how much of a perfectionist you are!

It's horrible being splitter less. It looks so unfinished :( part of me wants to get a fabia splitter for the time being just so it finishes it but the other part of me wants to wait and just get a carbon one rather than buying 2 in total! Oh the decisions!

Im pleased with the nuts. Hopefully they'll look good when they arrive! You still want my TPI ones?

If you decide to get studs from demon tweeks then look in the motorsport section rather than the performance section as there cheaper :)

Well the skoda one would only be temporary as I will defo be getting another carbon one. It's a case of when not if!! Since having one, I don't want to not have another. They are nice but pricey.

Ill get some pics up for you mate when I get a mo. if you want them you can have them, all I ask is that you would pos be willing to cover postage costs perhaps?
Can't say fairer than that mate! No rush :) PM would be best.

Still my favourite 182 on here.

Also forgot to mention that i bought a pair of sport bullets off stevescort172 off here. Im going to have a go at painting the bullets in some bg that i have left over and going to do the writing red. If it doesnt go to plan then i'll be ordering a set of 2.0 16v stickers of ady@n2grafix in red and i'll then smooth and paint the bullets and add the stickers over the top.

Well the first idea didnt go to plan! I painted the bullets bg but when I put the masking tape on it pulled away some of the paint. So then I though I'd just mask around my current badges on the car and blush the red in..... Yeah I did the same thing again  So I decided to smooth them over and paint them bg. It was a lot of filing and sanding but finally got there.

As you can see there is slight blemishes where the raised 2.0 16v used to be so I've ordered a set of 2.0 16v stickers off Ady in red and silver. My original plan was just to put the red on and lacquer over it so its all smooth but I might try and do what I've done with my rev counter stickers and have the silver slightly underneath the red as a shadow. Views and thoughts?

Also called the dent guy last week to get a few minor dents out. He came today and once again came up trumps :) Top service and a really nice guy and above all paintless dent removal that was very cheap :)

If you need a dent removed in the East Herts and West Essex area then Simon is your man. I highly recommend him :)

It's different for each dent or panel as he sometimes does a bulk package if there's loads of them. He just looks at the dent/dents and goes "that should take 20mins, it'll be £x amount. I've never known a dent guy to be this good and still cheap. Some dents are larger than others or worse than others so he doesn't give a price until he can see it in person. But there's no call out fee and if he any take the dent out he doesn't charge so can't argue with that. But he is sh*t hot and I've never known him to turn down a job he couldn't do :)

You will have to ask him if he will come out that far. You might have to come to him.

I did the same thing with a set of 2.0 16v bullets and was left with the same result. If you are putting stickers over it it will look decent, however if you want some really smooth bullets it's best to use some 1.2/non-sport ones as they aren't metal coated like the sport ones. Or better still, the Campus ones are already smooth!
