I've got one turning up this week, can't wait to get it in and try it .
Let me know how you find it please Paul!

What size did you go for out of interest?

I'm a 32" waist, 5'8", but quite broad so unsure which would be best for me...the standard or the XL

I'm thinking of buying a XL, trying it and see how I get on, if it's too big I'll just use it as the passenger seat - as that'll be the size I'll use incase I have someone bigger in haha

I've gone XL too, I'm 6'5 with wide shoulders but the same waist as you so I'm hoping I don't rattle around too much haha, I'll let you know once I've had a sit in it later, it actually got delivered in between my last message and this reply (Creepy!).

Don't worry about the spam at all mate, I like it! Good to see convo flowing and others helping each other :)

I have the XL version @Jimbob 2705 and i'm waist 30 and 5ft 7 shortyyyyyyyyyyy

But I have harnesses that hug you tight as f**k so it doesn't really matter so much.

I'm new to the forum and have just made my way thru your whole build. The car looks great. Gutting about the wheel coming off :(
The seats look great i currently have them in my Driftcar.
The car is kept really clean most of the time. The exhaust is crying out for some Autosol to clean up the Tips, seem like the only little thing letting the car down.
I'm looking forward to continuing to see the cars progress.

Thanks for the kind comments mate, got any pics of the drift car?

Post them up in here man!

5ft 7??! Behave, you're a solid 5ft5 on a good day, in shoes.

Haha we measured a month ago and I was an inch taller than you ;)

Are you on Jon's extra low subframe mounts Dan? If so, how you finding them?

I.e. Can you see over the steering wheel haha

Joking aside compared to standard seats and on Jon's extra low subframes, these must be a massive difference height wise

Ouch about the wheel bolts!

What were they torqued at? Or was it just a do them up any old way?

I personally do mine to 120 nm all round and check them a few times during a week or two after the wheels have been taken off..

Since the new spacers and bolts I've almost been checking them daily!

So as promised, more pics!

I did some overall maintenance, cleaning and fitting side RS-182 decals which I really like as they're so subtle.

The car handled well all day, came 2nd out of 13 cars so was happy with that! Little video playing around in the rain when it came for 30 mins. Getting the back end out 3 times! woooooo

And finally some more pics of the Lakes, had a fantastic time and took advantage of the roads. I can't stress how well Boris handled on them, I think the tyres have properly scrubbed in since the track day with thecamber being correct now but it just gripped and gripped despite the weather not being that sunny. Took a few snaps

Nah, I actually have no idea where it came from!
Haha yeah I tend to stay awake better when I've not been drinking all evening.

Fair play, I was expecting some extravagant story

Looks great Dan. Didn't know you had Ph1 lights though!

Also, what the F**K is a Ginnel?

It's what the cool kids do you see!

Hahah northern term innit ;)

Was great to see you and the wheels at Curby! You're driving has improved load and the car felt really sweet!

Oh and I'll take that £20 whenever mate...

You too mate. And thanks! I think a few track days under my belt helped along the way.

Sorry about that man, I will be honest I completely forgot. Could you PM your paypal and i'll fire it through now. Don't have your info anymore as I deleted a load of messages. Cheers bro

Yeah buddy! Although points I would make are...
1) If you bought his fitting kit with it, don't use the bolts, they are cheese.
2) Use Etch primer, then primer, then paint.
3) If you're going to keep the trim, bolt up the arches, then put the trim in, then bolt the floors.

Still maintain our Clios are very similar, haha!

Have you gone for half or full cage? Bolt or weld in?

Been looking at these myself, can't decide whether to stump up for a safety devices cage or not though!

I decided against his fitting kit as I'm going to use thicker plates too and the bolts don't look great as you said.

Cheers for the tips though man. Can't wait to do some tinkering with it.

I've gone for the bolt in half cage from the guy who did the group buy on here last year or the year before. Saw debussitis in person and it looks great for the money. Should give me more room on the back floor too as currently the harnesses get in the way on the floor.

Just read the whole thread mate, spot on and good news on the cage

Thanks mate!

Me and @leeds2592 fitted new cv boots to our cars this weekend, mine looked like this

20160514_134407 by dann2707, on Flickr

In case it helps anyone in the future, it's really easy if all the bolts are free (@leeds2592 ;) )!

Got to remove the two bolts for the bottom ball joint, remove track rod end, remove disc and hub nut then it simply slides off the splines on the shaft. No need to remove the strut bolts which is ideal for if you have camber bolts and don't want to disturb them.

We then fitted the stretch/cone type cv boots.

Forgot to mention I also fitted powerflex black series bushes to the wishbones the other day.

Took pretty much all day with me @Matty1303 and my dad on it due to not having a press to press the new ones in.

We used a combination of freezing the metal inserts, heating the console and a makeshift press using M8 threaded rod and some aluminium plate and a makeshift bearing race using a bit of old exhaust to get it in. Oh and also a hammer.

Random oversaturated image.
