I now just need a quick road test, a spanner check and then the mother of all cleans and she’s good to go.

I think I’ve spent nearly £4K on it this month. f**king sickening. If it wasn’t for CSF I wouldn’t have even opened the door on it this year.

This forum has a lot to answer for.

Nope, have to have arms and legs covered now with 99% of track day providers. better to be safe than sorry after all.
Circuits themselves are clamping down on it too.

There's massive pressure on them to up health and safety measures after a marshal lost his life last year at Brands Hatch.

Sillu question : is there a dB limit for the track ? 🙃

The software on the noise monitoring computer can be set to produce and store an alarm at a pre-determined decibel level recorded by the microphone. Noise mapping studies carried out by specialists in acoustics on behalf of the Company, readings taken by the Company and the adoption of best practice incorporating experience from other similar venues in the UK have led the Company to conclude that a level of 95db recorded by the microphone is the threshold beyond which sound levels at neighbouring locations may give rise to complaint. Consequently, the software is generally set to alert and store any readings above 95db and it is these alerts which prompt action from the Company’s management.

Depending upon climatic conditions and in particular, wind strength and direction, noise from vehicles on the circuit may be audible at neighbouring properties, but not to a level which causes nuisance.

Any vehicle which causes a reading above 95db will be identified and removed from the circuit. The owners will be given the chance to further silence the vehicle but if they are unable to do so, the vehicle will not be allowed back on the circuit. All alarms are recorded by the computer and in addition a manual record is kept of the alarm, the offending vehicle and the action taken by the Company. On certain days , vehicles will be permitted on circuit which will exceed the 95db level and the restrictions imposed upon them are covered at 4.1.3 below.

Just been looking through old threads and people say a ktec stealth 1 box exhaust with a decat is less than 95dB so I might be alright 😂

It's f**king loud but should be alright. My mates old supercharged Fiesta blew the baffles out of his exhaust so it was essentially straight piped and that was f**king deafening, especially when it banged on gearshifts and woke the dead

My old asbo spec single silencer system on my old kangoo which was 102db on static never got pulled at Blyton so wouldnt worry too much unless its really loud, unsilenced or whatever.

My van had a decat, one silencer from a 2.2 accord diesel and the rest was straight piped. Was stupid loud tbf but I only had one warning for noise all day. You’ll be fine.

I was about to say, didn't you get black flagged for noise..

This is what they say on their site about noise levels now so gives anyone with a loud exhaust chance to quieten it down just incase.
