Clio Widearch Volvo Turbo (B18FT) Mega Bass Project almost complete

  Clio Widearch
Things are coming along now. The wheels have now been painted in the final colour (Ford Vision Blue). The amp build is complete and has been stickerbombed in the same Moshi Monster vinyl as the roof which I think works well. The inlet has been painted blue with the alternator and a few bits going black

Next will be the window wrapping, sunstrip and fitting the door protectors, repainting the front splitter and bonnet pins, then it's pretty much ready for plasti dipping :)Is anyone liking how its coming along still? lol

  Clio Widearch
cheers mate. Its all about having a vision and seeing it through. I still have a couple of problems to overcome but then we're laughing. It will look nice when finished i'm sure.

  Clio Widearch
i will do my best to get it complete to a standard i'm happy with . Its been a long hard trek but its getting close now :)

I rather like this. I'm not into car kits but the end result is nice.

I still don't like the spoiler, and I wasn't keen on the roof, until I saw what you had done with the boot.

Well done fella

  Clio Widearch
cheers flash. Its getting there. I've done a bit more this weekend with the door protectors being bonded on and wrapped the front windows. July will be seeing most of the other things being done and cosmetically almost finished so i will post pics as it comes along.

I can't remember if i ever put any pics of my other ongoing project up but here she is as i'm doing bits on this at the moment also. My Supra had a front ender so decided to go for a Jag XK conversion.

And the new front end (only really just started)

Its weird. My mate was more bothered than i was..lol. I'd had it for 5 years at the time and knew it was repairable. I've never really liked the front end anyway so it made me bring my plans to the table a bit earlier than expected

  Clio Widearch
The Clio's coming along well now. The lights are now all tinted and some stickers have been added (more will be added when they're done) I have been sorting the 19" screen mounting as it was never done right (pics tomorrow) and fixed some niggly problems with the charging system and cosmetic finishing. Here's how she looks tonight:

They were the days when it was the madder the better. Over the top spoilers and bodykits, flip paints, smoothed boots and anything that would make your car madder then the rest. Now its just lower it on some light weight wheels and project finished.

no its only in primer at the moment. I'm having it plasti dipped gloss white so everything can be fitted and bonded to it first and then final coat done after

  Clio Widearch
Bit more work done today. the rear vinyl looked crap so i've changed it to blend in with the rest of the build.

bit more work done on the supra. fibreglassing the lights in and building up the wings to meet the lights. The bonnet line is pretty much there. The bonnet will be extended next to meet the bumper and go round the lights.

You must have shares in a Glass Fibre company ;)

What's that bumper on the Supra? Why have you gone over the lights or have I read it wrong?

  Clio Widearch
saner is correct. Its having a jag XK front end conversion.

Unfortunately i dont have shares in a glass fibre company but i do get it cheap. Luckily there wont be too much fibreglass on this build. :)

Oh and on the lights...thats parcel tape. Fibreglass doesn't stick to it or go through it so its ideal for masking off when fibreglassing around them.

I did think it was a Jag bumper but couldn't place it, you need a separate thread for the Supra

  Clio Widearch
I could start a new thread but i figured you might not want me to do that as its not exactly a major build and its a clio forum.lol

Just when you think things are going well..another problem. I had an issue with some severely fried batteries. Due to the "ingenious" way i put the system together, there is no access to them to change them so there's only one thing for it.....the rear end of the system has to come out and be redesigned...could be a long job.

well it looks like i've found the problem. 6 of the batteries were fine but very flat but now seem to be charging ok on the charger.

The 7th one is down to 1.9volts and is that knackered the cells inside have started to swell....not good i'm thinking.

More work to come tomorrow starting on rebuilding the box and making an access tunnel for the batteries and cables.

I decided to change the design as the battery tunnel would have taken up too much box space. I've done a compartment at the rear instead

Its been a while since I replied on here as the winter got in the way amongst other things.
I've had a few problems with the Clio so decided to concentrate more on the Supra for the next few months.
Here's the latest pics from the last few weeks....still plenty to do:

I forgot how mental this was! I was just thinking about it the other day actually. When will it be finished?

  Clio Widearch
The Supra will be finished before the Clio now. It should be done for August/September all being well.
The Clio will be started again as soon as the Supra goes away for Plasti Dip

  Clio Widearch
A little weekend update. Jag rims now on and interior almost finished
The spoiler is being changed to a shortened standard one
