City powder coating in Birmingham | Highly Recommended £80 per set for a Refurb!

Bumping this in case people haven't seen it.

All I need are either 4 steel wheels with tyres (to buy or borrow) or one and I just send each one off individually....which will look dickish while I drive around with mix and match wheels....but will still be do-able. :)

I wouldn't send them off individually incase they come out different colours! , I only have a set of 182 wheels with no tyres so not much use :(

Finish looks real good but 80 sounds WAY Too cheap for them not be cutting corners somewhere I have read mixed reviews on them .
But saying that for 80 quid may well be worth it !

I'll bring one to the Star city thing on Sunday, we can have a closer look.

Guy in Banbury does it and he wanted £55 each cash, sorry cannot afford that,I've got 16 of them to do.

Searching the internet they have mixed reviews, Iv'e had 2 sets done and they have been superb, I know a few mates have also been really pleased, When i went the second time i had a look at all the wheels there and they looked good to me :)

i used these lot for my M3 alloys. Top job on those cant fault them at all

Bloody Hell Riz...long time no see/speak :)

Alright, it is a hassle taking wheels off...getting them done and getting wheels back on (without damage), but for £80 it can't be bad if they do go tits up...place near me want £40 +VAT per wheel and they will be gone for up to 2 weeks and its another tenner to do each centre cap!

I'm sure they will be fine, If you look all the bad reviews seem to be from a while back aswell.

Cheers Mart.

I am trying a few places to get some steelies...but not heard back. But will see how things pan out...I may still grab it and do them one at a time...(but would rather do them all as one). :)

Why are people saying its too cheap, dont forget there not taking the tyres off and on for £80. If you can actually get someone to take your tyres off and then put them back on + balancing (most places dont seem to want to know unless their selling you a tyre) it would probably cost £15 - £20 per corner, if you factor in the extra cost its about right. Good if your tyres are already off but a pain having to trapes aroung looking for a friendly tyre place and then the cost of fuel on top. You might aswell pay the full amount which is £40 a corner isnt it?

i just paid £202 for 5 bare wheels then another £48 to swap my tyres over to the newly refurbed alloys.

at the wheelspecialist in brum.

£80 is shockingly cheap and good.

but there is something not right there, must be a corner being cut somewhere??

I imagine the price brings in at least twice as much business as competitors so they can afford to have a few **** ups and charge less. From reviews on the internet the turn around can be slow and posting wheels to them is even slower...

Well we shall see,I dropped ours there on Friday afternoon, and they said they should be ready on Wednesday.

If that works out,I don't think that is too bad at all.

Small profit, large turnover, it's all about cash flow.

Bit of a pain that they don't match centre caps, I took a set of 182 cup wheels which have huge centre caps , I think a mate will hopefully be able to math the colour but we will see.

Had a quick look at your wheels Tony, They look good to me :)

Yes,got there about 12.40.

Really really pleased with the job done, better than I thought, can't see what people are worried about,I'd have spent more than that on rattle cans for each wheel, plus all the time rubbing them down.

Ace job.
