finsihed! Just to install Pump, Engine Mounts ( uprated units ) and mapping Wahooo but as it is now it does drive

Made the downpipe in house using a subaru decat pipe and a 172 bottom flange

Are all the internals std at the moment Andy? be interesting to see how many ponies you can get out of it with that TD04 unit (not sure if im making the TD04 bit up?)

Engine is forged. and the turbo is a td05 18g your right tho the one pictured is the trial td04

WHAT!! forged with a TD05 (same as an evo 8 right?) for less than £1k... thats some going andy, hats off to you mate!

what kind of power would you have got from std internals and a smaller blower?

the engines are appartany good for up to a relibale 300bhp with a td04 or as the vw lads fit a vf23 320hp

the td05 is also fitted to a subaru and thats the unit im using

That is good news then, as often when that happens its a case of a burnt out injector driver backfeeding the ignition.
So its a real bonus if it was just a pure co-incidence and nothing to do with the ECU in this case

They can!

i know of several sets failing under 300/300.

Piece of cake getting cheap bits or these engines though. So much better supplied in the aftermarket than then renault fart engines.

Pulled these out of a mates S3 this morning. stage 1 revo on oem exhaust, TIP, SMIC's etc etc. 265bhp and 262lb-ft.

The 2 either side are for perspective.
