Sold my Silver Clio 172 phase 1 to a lad up in Dingwall couple years ago. I left my private plate on the car and was hoping to get in touch with him about it. Reg number is R2 FMK Looking at MOT history it seems it could possibly be a track car now. Anyone any idea if he is a member here.?

My passenger window does this too. Mines appears to be the glass rattling. Will need to strip it down to investigate.

It's a strange one as the pump and the float although joined together in the tank,run seperately. I suggested checking the wiring as I'm sure they both use the same earth. when it cuts out are you losing voltage to the pump?

When this happens I'd be checking the voltage/wiring to the fuel pump.

Are you getting 12v to the starter solenoid when trying to crank?

Just to update this incase someone else has similar readings,it was the Lambda sensor that was faulty.

ok,but my car has passed for the last 10 years by me dropping it off and leaving it with them!

Cant really control when the garage MOT my car unfortunately......besides i can't really see how that would cause those types of readings,if every car they emission tested were like that i think VOSA would be asking questions!!!!

Just to add to this, i've tested the Lambda sensor signal wire and it appears to be fluctuating between 0.1v-0.9v at idle,however it seems to be sticking when i hold revs at 2500rpm?

Yep...36k or 2 years in my 172 service book. Renault might have changed the schedule since then mind you!

Must be different for 182 then as my 172 service book states 36k or2 years for aux belt

Cambelt 72k or 5 years Aux belt 36k or 2 years

My Phase1 172 top half of dashboard is really sticky to the touch,but doesn't transfer onto my hand once touched.... Has anyone elses Phase1 dash went the same? I've tried cleaning it but makes no difference? It's as though it's been melted by the sun light over the years....
