1.2 8v with 60hp, fairly nippy bout town. not too bad on open, just doesn't like hills. think that is group 2 or 3. thats said like foxy, anything at 17 will cost a bomb to insure
i'll have it if it comes with that lass. then again, just that lass will do. car looks sick. u could buy a 172 and have plenty of spare dosh to take her out from £4500
cool video al, cheers for the link. I be ok over those roads if I at back of queue, cos then I no gotta worry about t*****g into anyone coming other way! some of them though like the double left near start, I ain't gonna keep with a clio let alone 172 / 182 with my flying brick, round corners...
"oh dear" indeed. Looks hideous. If you do that to a car, you really are hankering after something else. Which the owner obviously did, when the suckers presumably took that heap in part-ex
At least with the Clio I won't have the worries of running masses of torque, wearing car down, or expense of a turbo or intercooler etc. It will be pure simple raw fun. Enough speed to embarass much bigger car's too. Do you gain much through changing the exhaust cat-back ? or is the standard fit...
Just put Shell V-Power in (proven at 99.8ron) and get some Aidon Octane booster. Larkspeed stock it. Used it in a project car of mine, and it made a huge difference (1992 Bmw 525i (24v 189hp). £10 a bottle. £10 does 10litres and max dosage (+6 octane)
I am considering swapping my Fabia for a Clio Sport model. I think its the only way im going to get a very quick car in a straight line, but something fun in the twistys. Is the 182 actually any quicker at all than the 172 ? what differences are there in the Cup & Trophy models ? Is the ride...
Welcome, it doesn't matter what car you have or if it is a clio ( which makes sence in here! lol) what engine it has in it. If you have a passion for it, you have come to the right place. Sit back, relax and take a look round.
the 197 is too darn heavy. As far as I remember it best part of a second slower to 60mph, and 30-70mph more than a second slower. Enough to put it in tuned diesel terratory. That said IM sure it supposed to have a better chassis than the 182 or Cup/Trophy models.
Looks great. Do you really have 2 cold air feeds from where fog lights were ? I think it looks great. I thought about doing that to my old Corsa before I sold it on. Slick.
Re: South Yorkshire Meet across he strines 25/11/06
whey hey, a decen't turn out for once!
Managed to lose Chris ? (jee's u must have been doing it GP style! lol)
If I had have been there, u prob have lost me too!!!!!!
Love the video. Shame im only on camera once!
Al waved me past when we get to the straight ish bit after passing the pug, I was in 5th (32mph/1000rpm) and used 1/2-2/3 throttle to get past. we were both doing 69+1 mph at the point we waved me past.
im on 11-12k a year at moment (just started at this place) I do 300miles a week getting to work and back, but could very easily afford to run a clio 172 or 182, insurance £370 a year, tax I think £155, + what ever a service is once a year. If I lived closer to where I work, I would consider a...
Re: *****crashed 182 pics **** very nasty
That's exactly why I don't want a sub 4star car for a fun car either! cos u never know when a TXXXXR in a BMW or AUDI etc is gonna come round next corner u go into on wrong side of road.
Glad eveyone alive and kicking. some shunt.
