I know its been said, but drilling it in for you. His insurance will pay for everything, Your insurance won't have to pay a thing or be notified.
To be honest, I'd take the claim to a private solicators. I took mine to Winn & my dads and mam both have them handling a case at the minute.
Make sure the police know, you get a full doctor examination and put a claim through. People like that deserve high premiums.

f**k me dude you poor sod...you have my deepest sympothy...*gives soft manly hug* claim for sure....this is going to f**k ur life up a bit/a lot you can't just let this thing go... on the one hand you have a back up car still... so when ur fit to drive again then you can drive the 1.2 till you get another valver.
insurance do hav to be notified dont they? specially if he is goin to make an injuries claim?

Unlucky mate, as said above though his insurance WILL pay out for you as although you're own cover is only TPFT that only applies if its your insurance paying out which it won't be as it wasn't your fault. One thing to note is whatever they offer you for the car (presuming that its written off which I would guess it will be from what you've said) make sure you refuse the first offer as a lot of companies offer you less than they are actually willing to pay with the first offer.

just got 5 quotes from all bodyshops in the area, and they all circle the £1000 mark.lukily, the floor pan isnt bent, but other things are nocked out of line and need replacing....if he goes through inurance then its a write off.
theyll see it as a write off becuase the repair is worth more than book value of the car, they dont take into consideration the value of the car to me
