Many of you may have seen this topic i started 2 days ago, showing i just got my valver on the road, and how pleased i was.

it took me a while to save for it, 2 months to get it looking how it looked, and just over 2 months to save for inurance.

mmm, a while...

anyway, last nyt after it being on the road for just under a week, i was waiting at some temporary traffic lights. a taxi man booted it up behind me and smashed straight into the back of me. instantly grabbed my shoulder, and my neck

got out the car and saw he'd nailed my boot, smashed both lights and the carbon fibre strip....:dapprove: gutted as it had just got on the road.

anyway, spent all nyt in A+E getting checked out. *2 years ago i splattered my kindey to bits leaving me with 1 kindney and a week in intensive care* so from now on, i have to edge on the side of precaution.

Got bad whiplash, and bled even more between the layers of skin on my back...

woke this morning, with a mega stiff neck, and my shoulder and back in alot of pain...apparently it should hit its peak at 36hrs.

checked over the valver this morning also, took 2 hours to open the boot :S , and the floor pan is all rippled.

fuckin marvelous.
5 months of working my arse off for bugger all.

Did you get his insurance details? Hopefully that'll cover the costs to the car?

insurance wont pay out at all, after 2 and abit months of saving just for insurance alone, i got bored so only insured it 3rd part f+t. under a week later it gets wrote off, just my fuckin luck.

Harsh! so... personal injury claim on him then ;)

Second that...you should get a call from the other party insurers offering to pay for the costs etc.

fooking taxi drivers eh:(

Hard luck mate! At least your not seriously hurt tho! Must be gutted tho, i was when I wrote off my old £300 Clio and it was my fault!

Hope you get the Valver back on the road, it was a looker

I got hit by a taxi a couple of yrs ago! Best thing that happened to me...(Sounds weird, but i got loads from insurance, bought it back, repaired it and sold it on!) Made about 3k in the process! :)

But...Gutted for you tho, short lived valver experience.

sorry to hear that mate i had my old saxo for 5 days and then it got written off by some bloke that pulled out of a bus layby without looking. i got £1400 and the saxo back as it was a total loss claim but the personal injury claim is still going through and that was on the 3rd of december!!

Oh bloody hell! Gutted for you Rage. I hope you get over the whiplash pretty quickly, that can be really nasty. I bet you're as mad as hell, I know I would be after spending all that time making it look the mutts.

As for insurance, the other guys insurance should pay when he eventually admits liability. If the whiplash is bad, slam him for that too.

Good luck , hope it al gets sorted out quickly.

The chaps just rung up asking me what the damage is...told him but going to get a written report from four ashes renault specialists in penkridge to suport what ive said.

Shoulders Killing This morning, cant even change gear, going to have to get my mate to drive me :( ......

Your shoulder giving you grief is not surprising at all. My best mate is still suffering with her back after getting hit up the rear nearly 3 months ago. She has to go to see a specialist in london now too.

Get yourself to the doctors. Get him to check you over and give you something for the pain. Then put in a personal injury claim. Your doctor will support you 100% if he thinks it's bad enough.

Get yourself to the doctors. Get him to check you over and give you something for the pain. Then put in a personal injury claim. Your doctor will support you 100% if he thinks it's bad enough.

Well I'd claim if I were you, especially as it's going to give you grief for abit. It would be different if it was going to go away after a couple of days, but a few weeks? Slam the fucker!


Edit: Not only has he hurt YOU, but he's killed your car. Bet your life you won't get back what it's worth, so he deserves to get stung for it. DO IT!
