£150K spare?

You're basically making my point for me Ali, to give it the Lols is ignorant and based on what some Internet knobber or Evo has written. You can quote stats if you feel like arguing the toss as happens often online or in pubs but we both know they don't tell the whole story.

The value is subjective as to you it might be worth £10 no more as you have no interest in it regardless of how much you might enjoy the drive were you to actually get behind the wheel. Other affluent Honda nuts with an appreciation for the limited run version of a car Senna helped develop may view it a bargain.

I've first hand experience of the 1970's yugo build quality of a 430 even though I've never owned one and tbh it doesn't interest me.

Intrestingly I was talking to a mclaren engineer a few weeks ago who said with the mp4-12c their aim was the occasion, drama and theatre of a Ferrari with the reliability and build of a Porsche.

Someone I hang around with has one of these, in that colour exactly, as great as they look she couldn't get it over a speed bump and said she had to plan ahead before she drove it, and it took up too much space on small roads

Porsche is reliable??? lol. Must be the same guys that said BMW's are too!

Meh, at the end of the day, take what you will of it. 100k for a HONDA is mega bucks, and someone will undoubtably pay it. Some one with a lack of grey material between their lugs moreover.

I agree about your comment on quoting EVO etc, if that were the case, i drive 2 of the worst cars made by each Manufacturer. Carenot...

It's tiny compared to modern supercars!

Same width as a 350Z.

EVO rated both quite highly.

In fact, the Clio V6 Mk2 finished in their top five cars of 2005/6.

£100k on a Honda that will retain a significant % of that value, or the same on a depreciating Ferrari? Yes ali, they'd clearly be stupid to do that.

Still a bit sad that the build on the Honda will be better than the Ferrari.

Yeah but the skyline for instances wing mirrors sit in tighter because they are higher up, when her nix and her mates new skyline looks much smaller when 'you put then together there is about 6 inches in it

The 430 spider I was in at work was built by a dodgy Polish carpenter.

Shocking is the only word I can think of for a 100k+ car.

Are you seriously saying the gargantuan skyline looks smaller than the Nsx? Really?

^^ Both those cars make me hard.

People you hang out with? This better not be a McDonalds style hang out :( Pics of the NSX and Skyline please. If they are real, I may pop over to Swindon to say hello.

He said his "mate's" new Skyline is smaller than the NSX. It's a moot point anyway, since his mate doesn't exist, but I just thought I'd show people the difference.

Can't find, but the R35's huge.

Dwarfs the R34, and that dwarfed the NSX. The NSX is R32-sized. Last one on the left.

Porsche and BMW make Ferrari look like trabant in terms of build and reliability so it's all relative.

The F430 would be a far worse prospect from an investment point of view (although investing in a car is about as wise as asking Arbarth boy for tips on reducing outgoings) than the NSX-R imo. Ferraris are not uber low volume like the 250gto's which are now worth crazy money. They're a mass producer now in Supercar terms.

All Skylines are as ugly as each other! But that an amazing pic to show the size difference. Need to get a shot of my neighbours soon!

But you wouldn't buy an F430 as an investment!

I wrote something similar in response to India's comment. But i gave up! Couldn't be bothered! The NSX, this one in particular is special, its low mileage, it's in a clinical box, it will remain a collectors item forever.
Drive it however and you're fcuked! The value will drop like a stone! Look at the value the SC and Ch Ferrari's still hold! The principles are the same in a manner of speaking!

Would I spend £150k on an NSX-R? I wouldn't rule it out but seeing as I'm potless it's not a dilemma I have to face. Give me a Euro millions win and I'll go drive some cars on the possible list then whittle it down to actual purchases.

I'd love an NSX R, and would happily pay £100k for a 'Honda'.

Is it true that with all the tweaks to the R's engine it actually produced the same power as a normal NA2?

  Turbos.
One was RRd at 330bhp, so no! Quoted power is always 276bhp, but i think most 3.2 engined NSXs are 300bhp. The NSX-R is quite a bit quicker, short ratio box.

Ah, i thought quoted was 290bhp and that Honda said the R was the same.

Are you actively seeking an NSXR then?

Oh what have I started.

I obviously wasn't basing it on driving, but I never said I was. I based it purely on what I like. Whilst the NSX seems to be the new fad on here, I don't really see the attraction.

I'd have a 430/458/Lambo even an R8 over an NSX.

Call it brand snobbery, penis extension or whatever. Or maybe I just like cars from this century? Lol.

Give me a 2nd hand Aston and watch the people with taste admire it.

Good chance owning a Ferrari you'll have something thrown at you at some point.
