What age is too old for an RS Clio?

  RB 182
Well ive been without an RS Clio for a few months now, had a 172 that got written off, then sold the replacement in May for a 182 which i hated. Ive currently got a Mondeo ST200, but 70 miles on £20 is taking its toll and its one big barge!! I really miss my 172, but one of the reason i sold the 182 was because ive just turned 25 and thought i needed a more grown up car!

Now, id love a Focus ST/Astra VXR etc but just cant afford one atm and in my eyes they're the next obvious step up from an RS.

So, in asking this i hope im not offending people, but at 25 am i too old for a 172?!

I am 34 and think my clio is great. Grown up cars are overated... it keeps you young driving something fun.

as grown up as I like to get was my scoobys. :D Grown up because they cost the earth to run and repair. :D

I don't think a 50-60 looks out of place in a RS clio...

Today i saw a middle aged man in a bright green Focus RS. TBQH he looked silly, middle life crisis anyone...lol

fair play to him, near me there is a little old lady who seems to get a new STI impreza Every two years. She has to be about 80, and she just pootles about. :D makes me smile every time I see her.

I don't intend to sell my 172 as I love it soooo much.

I'll probably get buried in it. :)

Clio is a young mans/b**ches car. So I’m going to be kind…anyone over 35 with a Clio seriously needs to rethink there life.

This excludes people with mental issues, other vehicles on the driveway and if the Clio happens to be a V6…..MK2!

SUBWAY...DONE! xx

I don't think there is a set age limit. Just when you want something new. I really don't think you get to an age and society demands you go from a Clio to something else.

Drive what the Fcuk you want too drive !

I have done the whole Bmw, Audi various other "Grown up Car" Shiz. Its W@ank i drive what i want, and i like little hatches cos they are fun so i drive one.

  Works...kind of...

I'm nearly 33 and don't think I'm to old for it. At the end of the day it's the best drivers car that falls within my budget. If I was 50-60 and my budget was the same then I would still get one. f**k what other people think.

  GW RS200
I used to work in a garage where a 50+ guy used to drive in for petrol with both a williams and an M3. He told me the willy was his favourite, he called it his rollerskate!

Btw I'm 34 have had a 172 for the last 4 years and have just ordered an RS200 - you are worrying too much mate, no need to be so bothered what other people think!

Michelin PE2s tp replace the ones on it i hope! The PZeroNero's were quite good when i had them on the front

Yep Michelin PE2s all round.

Got a good price at Costco.

worked out around £70-ish each (fully fitted, blanced and filled with NITROGEN! - How cool is that!)

I dont think 25 is too old. Maybe 28 or 30 is getting on a bit for a clio as an everyday car imo. Fine as a trackday at any age really :)

  New Kangoo Van!
Not at all, best car ive owned and im approaching 29. Having previously owned a bmw 330, civic type r, vectra gsi etc i could go out 2mrw and buy another car for 15K but i choose not to. My next car after the 182 would have to have a significant increase in power as ive had plays with a lot of cars and hardly any have surpised me that much TBH. Having said that my 182 is used purely for pleasure on weekends. I find the car to be quite practical too!

  tiTTy & SV650
its practical, fun, plenty quick enough and pretty economical - it is a grown up car! lol

I bought my 182 when I was 22 and bought my 172 at 27 (and got a flat in between!), no plans to change. If I change it won't be for something grown up it'll be for something RWD!
