Imo i would wait another year at least just couldn't justify spending that much on insurance.

  Mk6 Fiesta Zs
^ what he said. i hate how slow my 1.2 is but i wouldn't even chance buying something with a 2litre for at least another year or so! can't justify all that money on insurance tbh

  200 Gordini

Paying £2000 and im 22 :(

Lol i didnt even realise you could earn points on your licence in a 1.2 :p Good effort!

  R27, Deep Black
I was 20 at the end of May and paying £800, with 1 claim on a Clio R27.

Could have got it for £700 but it ment changing companies and i couldnt be bothered with the hassel due to wanting to keep my 2 years no claims.

really? :O

im 21 with 2 years ncb and 5 points for an SP50 and i just paid £740 with bell

all that crap about not paying out for insurance is gay, if you want a car then its worth paying for, its your money lol

I had an A3 quattro when i was 18, paid £2500 to insure it, worth every penny

  Evo
How much! You must have some serious points or a big claim or something?

Nope, clean licence held for 5 years. Car locked in a garage, unmodified :rasp:, and only 5000miles a year lol.

No NCB due to being a former named driver, plus im a squaddie and thats one of the highest risk catergories ( might choose 2b a doctor next time lol ).

There's quite a big jump down when you turn 21 though, once you've left the "highest risk" group. I take it your postcode is in a low risk area then?

What do you do in the forces, as if you occasionally cook the spuds you could put your profession as chef;)

Im a vehicle mechanic mate, which also happens to be a high risk cat too :(.

Interestingly having a HGV and artic licence doesnt go in your favour aswell :S

That's some crap luck, I can insure a 182/197 right now for that price and I'm 18 with 0ncb and 3 points!
