Track phase 182

Not much to report really, took the car for a spin last night after picking up my wheels from powder coaters

Ended up splitting a cv boot and nearly killing one side of rc6 pads due to a sticking calliper, very smokey indeed.

Test fitted the oz reps aswell after having the bolt holes machined, fit perfectly and look great!

When you put it like that it sounds bad, I spoke to JJC and they sorted me out with a with good discount of all clothing!
Also Tony hunter told me to speak to the Tricolore guy (Steve Vince) and he sorted me out with entry fee for the end of the year

Yeah about £300 and weigh less than my 1.2s, obviously annoying as they use tuner style wheel nuts, which I had machined so all wheel nuts will fit now, good looking wheel though.

Was it the hole diameter that was just modified to get your socket to go down ?

Thats the one mate, exactly that - although the wheel nut is exactly the same width as my socket, so wheel nut was the first problem as that wouldnt fit at all

The tuner nut issue was why I opted not to buy them. Can't be arsed having them machined nor having 2 sets of wheels nuts

Are they strong Mash? I've not heard of them before but as you say, there lighter than 1.2's and they look very similar to ultralegerras amd are sub £300.

Sony out can't use normal wheel bolts/nuts?

Was that , so you can't use standard Renault wheel nuts @Dr Jekyll .

I think where the wheels have now been machined , @Mash. Is able to get the standard wheel nut down onto the taper. I think now the issue is the socket is damn close in size to the width and is tight going in . "We all love a bit of tight going in"
It's seems he's happy with the results.

Yep ive got the go pro all set up, had to make this pole to hold it now with a passenger seat in lol

Looks nice and secure that [emoji1303]
I need to re-position my go-pro to side cabin view . I'm running HLT on my screen front and rear .

Be good to see a live feed of this weapon on track . [emoji1303]

No streaming from me as mine are stand alone units .

Yes , it's a shame GoPro don't allow 45' deg turn or even 90' deg . Would help us track guys out a lot .

Sorry manfrotto not manfreto
Nothing really ticks the bill unless I havent looked hard enough and i found the screw type ones always come loose with vibration, I'm using one to hold my phone to the dash board to run harrys etc.

Great read this, really impressed :)
Thank you mate, I dont know how much you've read but its pretty disjointed in places, winter time im hoping to drip everything back again, and send everything off to be sandblasted back, and do things properly, aswell as removing the underseal and prearing the shell better :)

I wish I had the space/knowledge/tools to do some more to mine, although I do love working on my track car there are lots more bits ive love to do. Biggest problem I have is I have to roll it back into the garage every time I work on it :(

I'd say you've probably not looked hard enough then tbh. Me and BIGASH use the same setup and have never had any issues with GoPro's coming loose.

Ok mate, well as you seem to have a good idea of what mount you use, could you find us a photo?

I didnt have the knowledge 2 years ago mate, it was just a case of doing it, researching whats what etc.

Now that sounds like a pain, yeah I dread my gravel drive but least it can stay put under the car cover everynight!
