Wide angle lens

  Fiesta ST-3
Looking at getting one for my bday from the misses.

Hoping to use it for landscapes, is this right?

Anyone able to suggest a good one between £150 and £300 for a Nikon D5000.

Sigma 10-20 or the Tokina 12-24 are your best bets. I wouldn't mind another UWA. 16-35 is next only shopping list. :)

Pretty sure this was taken using a 7-14mm (14-28mm equivalent for 35mm film) though was a while ago. Is probably my favourite of my landscape photo.

The rest of these were all taken with a 14mm (28mm equiv):

  Ultra Red Megane 175
Have a look in Carmarthen Cameras Scott, I got a Sigma 10-20 from there for just under £300.

  2.2 bar shed.
20mm really isnt that wide on a crop. Ive got a 10 - 22 on my 7d most of the time and that normally sits between 10 and 17mm. +1 to the sigma 10 - 20 4.5-5.6
