Very urgent help needed - not starting / immobiliser problem Clio 172

Got a Clio 172, it's going tonight so just gone to make sure it starts ok and it turns over for a couple of seconds then stops. It's been parked up for a while, a couple if times the battery has run low so i've recharged and it has started and run fine, have started and run it regularly.

Battery couldn't turn it over this time so put jump leads on and tried to start and this has happened.

Anyone got any ideas urgently?

No, it just turns over and then stops, it's not firing.

What's the immobiliser light doing?

If it's not firing how can it turn over then stop,
it would have to fire up for a few seconds in order to stop.

Or do you mean the starter motor is turning it over but it's not firing at all,
as in you stop turning the key, it stops making noise?

Sorted now, earth strap was loose, thanks for replying.

Of course it can turn over but not fire, and then stop, all that is required for the engine to turn over is the starter motor to crank the engine over surely…
