Clio 172 ph1 turbo starting problem on st injectors.

Hello guys,

I have a question.. my car failed MOT emissions test. So i was trying to find a solution to bring the C/O and HC numbers down.

Car specs:
EFI module
EFI Basemap
400 cell cat

Tried to use the standard 172 injectors but my car wont even idle on them. Car runs spot on with the 225 injectors.

I was thinking to unplug the EFI module , remove one of the intercooler piping, standard MAP sensor and use 172 injectors.
But idk if its safe to run and drive like this ( max 2500 RPM )

Can somebody help me in the right direction please?

Is the EFI map on the module and this piggybacks on standard ECU leaving the standard ECU unaltered?

If so, then yes it should work.
