Trackday meet? Blyton park sun 21/4/13?

  Ph1 T
It was discussed in the other thread that a few might fancy this, just been on apex trackdays and they have blyton for £99.

Anyone fancy it? Also a Sunday which Is good.

Good little track and spot on for first timers too and at the price with free tuition ect it looks decent plus another excuse for an April meet :)

I think Jon pacey is on this already looking at the attendees so that's 1 Yorkshire lad already..

Ill be booking next week so names down if you fancy it..

I'm hoping to do this too but I will wait until a bit closer to the time to book.

Weather permitting ill be doing the 9/3 one too. There are quite a few clios booked on, anyone from here?

Not really. Just fitted a Whiteline ARB so see if that's worth it.

Picked up a pair of Cobra Suzuka bucket seats so try to get them fitted.

Bleed brakes and i'm done. How about yourself?

I'll 100% be there - if not on track i'll come and say hi and take some pics etc...

Got the Clio MOT tomorrow and then road tax needs to be bought on pay day - but my Passat road tax is due same day so not sure if I'll have enough left to book the track day :(

Arb should be good..

Get tracking done
Fit some good tyres
New fluid and lines
Oil cooler

Think that's about it tbh nothing too bad..

Hopefully it should be mate, i've only got K-Tec coilovers on so i've got a feeling it's going to be too stiff at back and too soft at front.

What tyres you looking at getting?

Think I'm going to go for the rsr's again last long for little road journey and very good on track I found. Will be getting some more wheels with pure slicks straight after though just want to get first day in the turbo done without blowing it up lol

Fair enough. I suppose it's doing a few laps, bringing it in and checking it over then building amount of laps you do up.

Does turbo generate more heat in engine bay, just thinking that it's under/near header tank, unless you have moved it.

Just a warning about slicks, some organisers refuse to let you on track withour a rollcage. I know you have that half cage butI don't know if thats enough.

  Ph1 T
It's not really that close to the header tank tbh mate but ill not do massive stints at a time just be out alot :)

Right thanks for that ill have to have a search and see what's what then..

If you don't get on with the coilovers ill be selling the fk konigsports in a few month when I get some ast/kw's

I may be tempted but i've started saving for that Spax kit Danny sells with a proper rear coilover unit.

If you have to sell cage though, let me know ;)

  Ph1 T
Konigsport over spax everytime ;)

the cage will eventually be going yea but not for a while unless a full one comes up at a decent price..

Looking forward to blyton even though I can't remember what it's like at all lol

At the right price I may be tempted.

I was looking to get a cage over summer from the lad who made yours, for the price you can't go wrong.

I went to watch other week but it's hard to make out from side, it's just flat.

I've watched a few videos on Youtube but I reckon learn by doing is best method.

I'm unsure. I think it's going to be good no matter what, but compared to Oulton and Donnington I reckon it won't be as good.

But for price I reckon it should be a laugh, especially if theres a couple of lads there so you can have a laugh/take piss when it goes wrong.

Been looking on Javelin's website and they offer an evening session at Cadwell Park for £50, might try that aswell over next month or two.

  Ph1 T
Yeah I remember speaking to you mate

Just haven't a clue when it was lol hectic end to last year so memory's pretty poor..take it the Amg is a weapon?

In dry yeah, struggled last time in Oulton due to rain in afternoon.

Struggles with brakes too, he's got standard discs that are drilled and grooved with EBC Orangestuff pads but the discs constantly vibrate after 10 minutes abuse.

He should be getting them skimmed so hopefully that cures it, new discs are £1200 just for fronts!!!

Escort got some massive history behind it don't know if detail for detail but the shell was used as a ford rally car apparently. It's had some conversion so it's just rear wheel drive or front can't remember and it's a right tool..

Typical ford boy Tbf chuck ££££££ into them and there the best cars ever blah blah blah lol

The Evo is awesome aswell can't wait now

Sound's like there is some impressive machinery attending. I've seen a few EsCos with RWD conversions, bet it's fun.

Should be a good day out.

  Ph1 T
Ill have them by the Trackday pal..

List as long as my arm of things to get done before but should have everything sound..

Will be talking a big spares box that's for sure lol
