The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

What's the appeal of these exactly? not saying it isn't cool.

Once did some work on a guys house fitting a compressor for his car ramp inside his garage. Amongst the Wraith, Slr Mclarren 722 and countless other nice cars he had one of these. He showed us around and was most excited about a Citroen exactly like this.

For me it's the originality, style and cool factor, Citroen had the balls to produce something completely different and it's one of 'those' cars which is so outlandish and unique that it beats many cars from the same era, even from more exotic brands. Other examples of 'those' types of cars would be the Alfa Romeo SZ or the Lancia Stratos (obviously much more pricier):

In relation to the DS, I think like most old Citroens, they're just awesome!

I saw one driving through London a while back, round where I work.. fans going & everything (sounded like a load of industrial vacuum cleaners in a good way!) the noise bouncing off the buildings was awesome!!

I rebuild this one 16 years ago, it's a Jota SE30 quite rare and it's RHD.

I saw a Merc Pagoda last night, silver one with a silver roof, it was lovely!! Really old one too as the reg was OO 800 something.

Yeah it's a UK car, it's based on the Mondeo platform. They are a lot of cash but apparently they are very well specced for the price.

200 mile trip down south on Monday netted some great spots. A few Astons, an old Rols Royce towing a caravan, R8 rag top, Ferrari California. But all these were second to a very rare sight out in the wild, an absolutely mint S1 Escort RS Turbo! When did you last see one of those thats not a trailer queen?

The guy who owns it im pretty sure has 2 others. He owns the LARK racing F1 and P1 i know of and in his garage is one of the Long Tail's. His name is Andy Bruce, Pretty sure he lives betwwen Alton and Petersfield.

Has some very very nice cars knocking about.
