temperature problem on 172

  Iceberg 172
I am having trouble with my car, the gauge stays at zero when driving no matter how long you've been driving. heaters blow cold. If sitting at lights etc the gauge rises and heaters blow hot but as soon as you get moving again it goes back to zero!! Can anyone help?

Cheers

have you checked to see if you have water in the cooling system?
If not it might be the thermostat, its quite common to go on clios, I have the same problem with my car atm and taking it down the garage to find out how much it is.

100% Thermostat stuck open... replace it with a new one, add some coolant and you'll be toastie and warm again in no time!

I had a problem with my thermostat similar to this. If you decide to change it, get one from GSF, costs about £11.
