Stereo wiring question.

I have lent her my account to ask her question after assuring her the answer, if there is one, will be on here.

Hello, sadly my car is only a mere campus 08 plate. i installed a tevion head unit and its works really great, but the unit forgets its memory every time i turn off the car ignition. i am told that swapping the yellow and red wires might sort this. (yellow is ignition circuit and red is fused and live.) will this drain my battery if i forget to turn off the stereo? would a stalk adapter sort this problem?
any answers would be great before l get my wire cutters... thanks!!

Nope, common fault on some cars. Swap wires and everything will be fine, won't drain the battery!

This. Some cars are wired differently so require swapping the yellow and red.
