Re: My PH1 172

I wanted the car to sit a little lower at the front but the Spax coilovers that i had fitted wouldn't allow this, also they where showing signs of rust after only being on the car for just under a year. One of the reasons i bought them is i thought they would have been protected by there powered coating.

Ready for there new owner.

What and im going to get next, I have a list

FK Sliverline X
KW V2 But might not go low enough.
BC kit that Mick @ Diamond Motors is doing.
AST But don't think i can justify the expensive for my needs.

While the car is up on stands i wanted to get the rear beam powder coated to match the front that i had done earlier in the year, ill also be fitting the Powerflex black beam bushes, Hel braided brake lines, replacing the hand brake cables and all the nuts and bolts.

Car looking sorry for its self.

On the day i took the coilovers off i went to see Chris @ Detail Me 1st for some paint correction on the roof and bonnet, there was some scratches that bugged me that i could see under the street lights.

Anyway we agreed a price for 3 hrs work, its not 100% but loads better in the time frame that we had.

Re: My PH1 172

Lovely! I had the same suspension on my saxo and it was well rusty within two years, couldnt fault the way it worked though.

Out of intrest why do you want to go lower, it looks well in the pics.

Re: My PH1 172

Thanks for the comments.

Now im running spacers it looks as if it needs to be dropped a little at the front, with the Spax i can not do this.

It bugs me so they had to go.

Re: My PH1 172

Yesterday i managed to spent a bit of time on the car as it was my sons birthday.

Got the beam off and one of the bushes out, the other side was being a right pain so that was left for today.

Brake pipe bracket that bolts to the underside of the car looked like it had seen better days, so that's going to be coated as well.

Yeh you might as well keep it tucked up over the winter.

I'm the same with the race car I'm building! Probably spending to much time on bead blasting and painting bits that shouldn't matter on a race car...oh we'll it's the way we are I guess :D

Re: My PH1 172

After chatting with AT Power about a few solutions Scott, you're best off going with the Ktec DTH and Gen90 etc. I think
