Could any tell me if it is possible to retro fit a Tom Tom factory unit in a clio

If you already have a clio with a satnav dash I see no reason why not.

Mine still has it's 04 disc haha. I'll get round to retrofitting an LCD in the future and using it as a media centre

Even with a newer disc it's still pretty crap.

Because it has a satnav in it

Then you'll need the nav unit and all the dash trim that holds it, might also need some wiring.

Basically it's a bunch of work to get a really poor sat nav system installed, a new Tom Tom would be much cheaper and much better.
