Rs tuner discontinued ???

I was about to buy an rs tuner from the fastchip website. I emailed the guy about them and he said they were discontinued for the clio 2 as members of this forum became unfriendly. I really want one of these. But i cant even find a used one anywhere. All i wanted was to add a few hp and add launch control. I was wondering if i could maybe get a group of people to email the website and hopefully get the rs tuner for sale again. Any help appreciated as i think this is an amazing product for an amazing price and is such ashame it is becoming unavailable.

they are a pain in the arse to get hold of and a pain to get any help with it from fastchip

i wouldnt say the map is that worth it when you add it all up a proper live mapping off one of the specialists on here will be about the same but MUCH better

unless you sell it on that is

good for the diagnostics though

The 98 performance map has transformed my car. It pulls much better from lower revs, idles better and the raised rev limiter is good also. All done on my driveway in next to no time.

Obviously a 'live' map from RS tuning/ TDF would be the better option, but with my basic mods I doubt it would make a lot, if any difference.

Just out of curiosity as they have stopped the rs tuner does that include maps as in JMS tuning no longer doing the pops and bangs map as it was developed by henk.

Well Henk sorted out my overrun map for me after he 'quit' trading on CS. So I don't see any reason why JMS would stop offering the overrun remap.

I dont think its just a few comments, he will have been on here for years and will have just gotten sick of people complaining and asking the same questions all the time when they could stop being lazy f*ckers and search on here or search the site for the info they need as most of its there.

You get that in most businesses TBH its part of the job

Shame you and other CS members, had problems getting answers from Henk regarding firmware and maps

He got back to me very quickly with a revised 'map' to get the overrun map to work on my 172, so I can't complain about Henk or Fastchip TBH

This doesn't make much sense. He is stopping the production of them because he was fed up with Cliosport owners, but he will still be providing maps and he knows that people sell them on, therefore he will still be getting idiot Cliosport owners asking their questions.

JMS will still continue to sell the overrun map.

Henk will continue to sell the calibration files. He stated that he'd still help existing RStuner owners, He just wont be selling new units.

In saying that though, someone on here managed to purchase one after he'd said that. (I also got the email stating that they were available)

I dare say if you fill in your details and click the "notify me" button, He'll still carry on selling them.

if it were me that would ring alarm bells that people are obviously having trouble so a solution needs to be found, ie make the website easier to use, because it is NOT straight forward for the first time users,

It is quiet straight forward to be honest. If you've got some common sense.

It was for me anyway. All you do is check your ECU software version in my case it was 8100. Upgrade to the 8200 rst and then buy whatever calibration you want that starts with 8200_xxxx lol.

Website could have been clearer as I needed to update the software on my ecu before I could put the new calibreation on and it's not clear where to download this. Have to say though that Henk was spot on and helped me out, shame it's come down to this as the map does improve the driveabilty of the 182.

Oh well looks like my RS tuner has gone up in value!
