RS 200 Raider Stealth Grey #3/50

  Golf 7.5R & Clio 200
ive always fancied a alcantara roof, so i decided to get the stuff i needed and get on with it, me and my dad stripped the lining out with some minor soldering for the rear alarm sensors, we managed to get it out fairly easily

instead of going for one large piece of cloth i went for 3 sections sewn together with white stitching to match the door cards and recaros, my mam can work wonders with a sewing machine, so we could do everything at home keeping costs right down, this is how far we got in a evening,

tomorrow we will be doing the A and C Pillars to match also the sun visors with the 3/50 embroided into it, also i have ordered black pasti-dip for parts that cant be trimmed such as the rear view mirror housing and vanity mirrors etc

Morning!

Unfortunatley I can't see the pictures on my work laptop, but I remember looking previously. Did you manage to sew this on with a normal sewing machine? Or something more industrial.

I'm tempted to see if I can convince my Nan to either let me rob her machine, or ideally to do it for me. But I don't want to break it if the headliner is too thick.

If it was a normal machine, how did you get in to the middle?

Back dated posts:

Seeing as though its just had its 36K service i though i would treat the rest of the car to a through clean and protect, inside and out ready for winter,

Didn't take too many

This is a rough outline of what I have in mind, they will be nicely moulded with rounded edges in gel coat fibre glass, may do some carbon ones, they will be purely aesthetic

I love this, looks so mean, especially with the lower ride height. Got any pics on level ground?

Fancying a cup spoiler? I usually prefer the smaller spoilers on 197/200s but think the cup one would suit it well with the front splitter etc.

Thanks mate,

Not yet I haven’t, haven’t drove it since fitting the coilovers 2 weeks ago, but I will get some up as soon as I do,

Yeah cup spoiler is on the list, going to go for a full carbon one as per the rest of the car, but as these cars come with the GT spoiler I will require another boot lid that I can paint up so I can swap and change between the two, as it will take a fair bit of catty and modifying my current lid to make it fit

Plus I don’t like to do any mods that can’t be undone in case I don’t like them

lovely looking car chap, not fully sold on the skirts and splitter but the coilovers and spacers have sat it perfectly :)

Some ace photos there mate, love them! Especially the 'ring mockup!
News on the RS rear wing? I know you said it was on the cards, would certainly finish off the look alongside the splitter and side skirts.

Cheers buddy,

nothing as of yet, my biggest issue is finding someone to spray properly, as i will want a new boot lid as you cant just pop my current spoiler off and put the cup on one unfortunately, when i do find somewhere i have got every intention of going for a full carbon spoiler to complement the rest
