RAMAIR filter size?

Just a quick question,

Looking at a filter to go on the end of my Ktec IDK and looking on the bay I've seen various shaped RAMAIR filters with a 70mm neck. However I want to make sure it'll fit behind the headlight okay so I'm not sure which size/shape to go for??

Guys,

I have this airfilter (sinds a couple of days), but is this one big enough for a Clio 172? I am planning to mount other cams and want to run about 190-195 bhp with this.

They also have this one (a little bit smaller diameter, but total height is 185mm instead of 135), but I am affraid that I have not enough space for this filter:

Can I use my air filter? Of better to change to the big one? Ram air dont use BHP rates like ITG do, so I am not totally sure if it is correct.

I think you've pasted the wrong link? It just goes to a page showing all of their aluminium neck filters.

IIRC the RS2 came with the 0171 and is prrety much the best match size wise hence many used that particular filter to make a DIY setup when the ktec kit first came out http://www.thepipercrossshop.co.uk/...ia-70mm-x-outer-dia-100mm-c0171_p23375494.htm

However for ages last year this particular filter was unavailable.

IIRC ITG "rate" their filters and the closest one size-wise to the pipercross only claims to do 150 BHP because it's originally from a kit made to fit a 1.8 Corsa SRI.

Universal Ramair (option D a few posts back) is cheap, right size ID, they claim all their filters are "rated" up to a figure that certainly will not trouble a clio, not the best fit in the world but it does fit behind headlight with an 063 battery.

Thank you for the reactions.

IIRC it is not necessary to upgrade to the bigger Ramair filter and I can run about 200 bhp with the smaller one (which I have now)?

Today I get my silicone elbows, so tonight I can start building a KTR style induction hose with Ramair filter!
