I provided Craig with a genuine renault seal kit.

This is the seal he removed compared to a correct one (correct seal on right)

As said, Craig looks like he has got his act together so credit goes to him. Not singing his praises yet as the car is still in Wales but so far he has surprised me.

Our work is complete as of earlier today. I'll let Barron give the details but I'm impressed. There's a few bits of further development we'd like to be involved with at a later date but this is one seriously quick and sorted Clio!! Specific output is one of the highest I've seen from a 4R!

Thanks Matt. It has been a pleasure dealing with Tour-De-Force and i look forward to collecting the car on tuesday :)

17th July 2010
The work by Tour-De-Force has been completed. Its had a new EC1 ecu + cal, Renault ecu removed, engine bay loom separated and removed what wasn't needed, control box wired up, DASH2 fitted and calibrated, heated windscreen wired up and much much more.

The car made 232bhp and 174ftlb

must fly now,

and wow, how much it's progresed since i saw it :)

torque is impressive over 150 from 4-8k!

suprised it didnt make more power tho tbh... and how come they didnt take the filter off when mapping?

  Pug 306 GTI6 & 205 GTI6
why?

well if mine was being mapped i would want it mapped as it will be run, bit stupid taking them off for mapping then running them with on for all the track days?

bit like putting a straight through exhaust on for mapping then, fitting the normal exhaust on?

both would stupid ideas

IMO :D

What a lovely result!! Whats the name of that heatshield material you are using, ive seen it before and *think* it begins with an "N" but cant put my mind to it.

Very very nice result, I bet it goes very well indeed.

My thoughts on mapping with the filter off was that the fans can only spin a 40mph wind so mapping the car with the filter off was helping the high speed mapping. Could have completly made that up i'm not sure lol

Bang on correct.

Filters affect delivered air mass and as such the filter setup the car will run 'in action' wants to be present during calibration.

just read the whole thing from start to finish.... great thread. Awesome car!

This car soooo deserves a Sadev gearbox now!

  RS RIP
^^ yeah was thinking this.. but the box will set you back another 5000 at a minimum with all the extra stuff needed to mount

with you now pushing the boat out at 230+ i have a little trick up my sleeve for 2011 :), cant let these clio's stay in front for long..lol :)

have you got a weight for the car now?

i can kinda of see your thinking, but it's what the engine is doing when on thottle, i.e. the sucking of air through the intake,

without the filter it would suck more, so would be mapped differently, then if it had the filters :)

Have you had it weighed yet?

260bhp/ton makes the car 890ish KG

I would have thought it would be been a bit lighter than that?

what about ..., nitromethane fuel, Aquamist Water/Methanol injection on 12:01 High comp pistons, or is pump fuel still 'ok' ?

Yep, as f0xy said its from a low spec mk1. only cost £9 on ebay :)

Fits well actually, had to make a couple of brackets but fairly easy fit

Not at all mate. I'm surprised more people haven't started using the mk1 dash in mk2's. If you need any other info either post in here or PM me.
