The other one I played a lot was Tiger Woods Golf (2009 iirc?) and the Final Fantasy game they brought out was very good too.
Hacking the PSP is definitely worth it - and not actually for anything illegal. Get a decent sized memory stick for it and you can transfer several games from the UMD disc to it. Much quicker loading times times and better battery life, without the clunking/whirring noise of the UMD drive itself as well. Multiple win, imo. I used the Pandora Battery method and it worked fine for me.
