Please help me!!!!!!!. Clio sport 182!!!!!!!!!!! Please read. What is my car???

I have got a clio sport 182. Theres a thing that im not sure about, i took it to a garage to get something on the engine done and they said they never seen this type of engine in a 182, they had to buy different tools to work on it, ever since then i wanted to know what it actually is. Ive found out it has a full fat pack on it, but i know trophy versions has this but mine isn't a trophy. Also i have found out that the engine has never been changed so has been in there since day one. I dont think you can get trophy versions in black but i may be wrong but it seems i have a standard 182 with a trophy engine in it. But to add to confusion i took it to another garage and they said its different to a trophy engine as it has extra bits on it. It has completely thrown me so i could do with some help. If anyone knows of anything
please let me know.

The engines are the same but some have air conditioning and some don't. Some have engine covers and some don't so that may be the extra bits the garages are talking about.

Ive just never understood why garages have said its a different engine to what they normally have. And i also thought trophy versions had different parts to the normal 182. The full fat pack doesn't come with every car , i believed it only came on the trophys but yet mine came with it. Mine is 192bhp standard and its had nothing done to it. Its just confused me haha.

From the years 2000-2006 inclusive, mk2 2.0 clio engines are (more or less) the same to look at. There are minor differences between them but none that would make someone say 'wow never seen that before'. Trophy, FF, Cup, makes no difference.

The biggest difference as has been mentioned, Most 172 cups don't have aircon, but all 182's have it.

Ah right that makes it a bit simpler. Not got any photos at the minute but it does look exactly the same as other ones i have seen. I never thought anything of it as i never noticed anything, was just when the garage mentioned it. I know its got full fat pack on it, so comes with the extra bit like suspension change etc, but other than that its all standard.

If it's had nothing done to it, it hasn't got 192 bhp.

Also to clear up your confusion.

182 - 54mm bolt spacing on suspension, climate control, half leather interior, xenon's
182 cup - cloth interior, aircon, 60mm bolt spacing suspension
182 with style pack - Splitter, cup spoiler and anthracite wheels
182 with performance pack - 60mm cup suspension
182 "FF" - normal 182 with both packs above
Trophy - Half leather recaros, only in red, cloth rear bench, air con, standard headlights, 60mm bolt spacing suspension with remote reservoir, v6 spoiler

I was going to find a specialist but from what everyone is saying theres nothing different with it. The only thing thats done me is that it has paperwork saying its done 192bhp but yet its standard :/ oh well, i'll just go with it been a normal 182 and leave it as that. Haha Thanks!

If your having work done on it take it to Mick! Tbh the other garages sound abit micky mouse if they can't even identify the engine properly!
