The first one I owned was this mint Orion 1.6i ghia. Awesome car until a went to work one morning, span on a patch of black ice and carried an Orion to escort conversion out on a lamppost.

The drivers seat hadn’t been reclined, it pulled the floor up and snapped down the centre. I then went to get out the car but none of the doors would open as the shell had twisted! I kicked open the rear door and ran away as the smell of fuel was intoxicating.

So if you’re a ford fan you might notice the car was on a J plate making the car special as they only made them up to a H reg. Would probably be worth a bit now.

Lesson learnt, if it had hit side on or head on I probably would be bearing some scars.......

That must have been stupidly rare being on a J reg ?

I used to love the old fiesta si's with the batwing seats, little bits on the front arches and thick rear bumper.

Haha! Thought I’d mix it up a little seeing as though I have pics of all of them.

I really wanted an Si but when the Ghia came up I went for it. I lusted after the AX GT, R5 and FRST!

My second car was a 2006 n reg fiesta si 1.6. It unfortunately was a 5 door but had the wing backed seats and was in aubergine pearl. Zetec engine too and could shift. Such a good car that was!!
