OE/Cup dampers for ph1 172

  ph1 172
I need a replacement set of dampers for my ph1, I was quoted about £49+vat each front & £51+vat rear for standard dampers & the same price for rear Cup ones & £56+vat for Cup fronts from a local Renault dealer.

I just wondered if I could find either genuine set cheaper online before buying ?

Also,I'd like to know whether to replace the springs if I go for Cup dampers & which ones ? I only use the car on the road (no track work), often bl**dy bumpy ones at that :(

Thanks.

Just paid this at Wests Renault, also in traders section:

172 cup front shocks - 8200681108 - £36.50 x2
172 cup rear shocks - 8200662257 - £36.50 x2

  ph1 172
Thanks for that.

Should I be using Cup springs (if there is such a thing) if using Cup shocks on a ph1 or will standard springs suffice ? Or, is there a good spring set out there ideally suited to Cup shocks without giving any harder ride than standard ? Likewise, if I stick to new standard OE shocks but also want to fit new springs is there a good/recommended spring set available for OE shocks ?

Many thanks.

I'd go for Eibach sport lines. Had cup shocks and sportlines fitted to my old ph1 172 and it was an excellent setup.
