Fitted the silvervision bulbs this morning. The photo's aren't great as it was pissing down with rain and I didn't want to get the camera wet so i've used a couple of photo's I took the other day for the before shots.

What's it like fitting the rear lights? And how do you fit them?

Easy mate:

Open the boot
Unscrew the three screws on the plastic part of the light
give the light a bit of a push in the upward direction and the light will come away from the car
unclip the plastic part holding the bulbs
change the bulbs
put it all back together
:)

  Clio RS 200 Gordini
Yuck! Swap the back and front bumper out! I absolutely hate the old looking Clio's they are vile! Espcially with the black strips across the back; looks like a pair of eyebrows!

Apart from that, going good so far but that's just my opinion.

I'm not 19 now! Lol I'm only 17 atm. What i meant was by the time my finance is finished on my car il'l be 19 so insurance should be affordable on an RS.

RS is £2000 on insurance at 19 with +2 no claims. Its priced at £1500 for me on Confused.com @ 20 years old. No way, still cheaper for me to mod the s**t out of my TCE.

Minor update -

My documents arrived earlier in the week for my private plates. After a battle with the old double sided sticky tape, I finally got them on.

The car was given a quick once over this morning so I took a few pictures with the plates fitted:

While I had the camera out I took a few more photo's of the Silvervision bulbs as the last ones were taken when the weather was rubbish:

I've also been looking online this morning and some lowering springs - I'm thinking a drop of around 30-40mm. If I do eventually get the car lowered I would like to get some spacers fitted at the same time however I am unsure what size I should get?

What size spacer would you guys recommend?

  Clio mk3
just bought springs for mine 40mm for £85 brand new. im looking a 16mm spacers for £35 on ebay with all extended bolts. if you want the links for any of them let me know mate:) car looks really clean, nice example of a mk3,will look much better lowered!

nice, looks proper smart!

as for spacers, id say try 10mm's, yours doesnt look that bad atm. i bought 20mms for my mk2 but the backs rubbed too much :(

Cheers mate ...I saw the springs you've ordered in your project thread but have you got a link to the spacers please? Definitely, the arch gap on the MK3's are ridiculous, they cry out for lows!

Just found you on instagram btw ;)

Thanks bud... I think your right, about 10 or 16mm as suggested above should be plenty for me.
Ahh gutted, can you get them changed?

Yeah whatever you think looks best :)
haha i did! swapped them for 16's, they rubbed still, but ive found that it rubs with people in the back & no spacers so i reckon i need to roll my arches before i refit my spacers.

That's alright then :) You must be pretty low if it's rubbing when people are in the back ;)?

Actually thinking about it I often have passengers in the back as I car share with some people I work with, I won't have any rubbing issues at 30/40mm will I??

Not really that much happening but just thought i'd put these here to keep the thread updated.

After giving the car a good clean at the weekend, I started to wonder if I preferred the car without the fog light tint...

I'm so glad i've taken them off. It gives a much more fresh and cleaner look to the front of the car.

You may have seen from another thread that I recently attended a meet with a few others on the forum, more photo's can be found here but I thought i'd stick a couple in here too:

Saturday = Spending time tinkering with the car! On todays list of things to do was to give it a wash, sort my number plates out and have a play with my interior.

Popped over to Halfords first thing to get some bits that I needed.

This was the behind the numberplate before:

Then applied this (AWESOME stuff btw!):
IMAG3144_zpsp0zxnvxt.jpg

Left the remover to dwell for abit then scrubbed everything off resulting in this:
IMAG3154_zpsyjtdocxm.jpg

I then reapplied my velcro coins:
IMAG3156_zpslw6rneqv.jpg

IMAG3155_zpsqa8dk8ns.jpg

Hopefully it will hold in place a little better now.

Moving on to the interior, I had some 'carbon' vinyl wrap lying around so I thought I'd try wrapping my dash strips.

So, before:

I'm not sure if they will be staying yet as they are not by no means perfect - especially around the edges and I think it may bug my OCD a little! lol

Apologies about the photos - Camera phone pictures + Photof**kit are a bad combination!

There are some differences in the arches on the RS models compared to the standard version (and between those and the S variants) not to mention the R'S being 5 stud so you won't get the genuine wheels to fit.

I do love these cars a lot though and plan on a 1.2tCe myself in the summer.

Haven't posted in here for a while so here's some up to date photo's :p

Fresh plates thanks to a member on here as my old ones had a strange 3D text that I wasn't too keen on.
