MBP Running Slow

OK so mines a 2012 model, probably around 2 years old, gets used everyday, it just seems to be running slow lately and doing weird things, like finder constantly crashes and i have to restart etc

I have clean my mac installed, but running it doesnt seem to do much, is there anything else I can do? Obviously if it was windows i'd just reinstall it how easy would it be to do this with osx?

Pointless reinstalling the OS on a Mac, it's a pita and won't really solve anything.

Are you on mavericks? Post up a screen grab of your activity monitor.
