internet access on two ip ranges - server 2003

  182
At work we have a network on the local IP range 10.68.4.* which is part of a large intranet provided by the council. For our computers to access the internet we have a router set as a gateway with the address 10.68.4.1. We have a DNS server on the network which forwards all requests to an external DNS server for the internet.

I am currently setting up a test network on the IP range 192.168.1.* and have a server with two network cards, one for the 192 range and one for the 10.68 range. I have set this server up as a DNS server and when pointing to itself (192.168.1.1) it is able to access the internet via the 10.68.4.1 gateway on the other network card. However, when a client computer tries to access the internet it does not work. I am guessing this is because the client cannot see the 10.68 gateway. Is there a way to set the server to act as a forwarding gateway for the clients?

Thanks

You need to set up routing between the two networks...

Use routing and remote access in windows administrative tools to configure this.
