Selling my sport replica clio soon as I'm getting a 172 cup, bare in mind the car has had a 50,000 mile engine and gearbox change, new clutch, bearings all round, front hubs and rear drums, new discs and pads, new exhaust, new wishbones and ball joints, full 172 kit and wheels, kept very clean and has been well looked after, full service history, receipts for every bit of work done, will come with a years tax and mot, extras aswell but bla bla I've ranted on long enough...

I've owned it since new

Belts replaced 5 years ago at 17K

I was thinking of part-ex but the front brakes have just gone, metal to metal now.

Just failed the MOT, requires

front discs and pads
offside track rod
failed lambda reading

front tyres are also close to the legal limit

I have it booked in on Monday to fix the mot issues, 2 front tyres and a service.

The CV joints will probably need replacing as I'm getting the knocking noise when on full lock. The passenger wing mirror also needs new glass and a small paint repair.
Alloys have marks from kerbing but generally the car is in very good condition. I basically only use it to go to work and back.

51 plate flame red.
108k m.o.ted for a year and 6 months tax
had belts done at 97k and has had 2 oil changes since then no service history before though good tyres and bodyworks in reasonable condition no dents or bad scratches.
Also has stainless steel catback exhaust and ktec replica induction kit.

Toying with the idea of moving on the DCI for something discounted from work.

53plate Clio DCI 100 dynamique. will be about 86,000 Miles soon
Pearl black, some small paint defects.
Electric sunroof, Climate control.
3 stamps in service book up to 64k, full head rebuild and belts done at 81k.
New tyres all this year, New pads all this year, new Brembo front discs this month.
New turbo to be put in this week
RS interior, Xenon lights, Bluetooth headunit, MOT unit December 31st.

Any ideas? I thought about £2,450. I think I'm being very optimistic though.

Worth that all day long.

My dci 65 (87k, fsh, 54 plate) is advertised for £2295 and has had 3 phone calls in the first day. A dci 100 in that spec and colour is £2500 to sell all day long.

Hmmm, do you have receipts for all the rebuild ect?

Just sold my 100 for £1500 on 130,00 miles with FSH stamped.

To the right buyer I would say your not far off personally.

As long as it runs well, black is desirable, and with the extras.

Maybe hope to get £2300 privately?

Niiiice, If i sold it I'd probably put it up in the region of £2600/2700 then.

In your opinion, do you think i'll be better off shifting things like the lights/headunit/ interior seperately? I got them all for a really really good price.

Make the car as standard as possible. Modifications appeal to about 10% of buyers, whereas the other 90% of buyers will be put off.

Re: Rare 06 plate 182 what's it worth

Need much more info. As you say (and as these replies with no context show) prices are all over the place.

* Are you up north (-£500 from value asking price) or down south (+£500 to asking price)
* Has it got both cup packs? (suspension & splitter)
* Has it got all the common things fixed (melted steering wheel, stainless exhaust, needing new exhaust mounts, cat/manifold gasket, heatshield rattle etc. will quickly add up to hundreds and hundreds of £££ in parts alone for a new owner, so clearly this influences price a lot)
* 06 plate counts for very, very little btw.
* If belts & dephaser done by a specialist with trustworthy receipts then that counts a lot in your favour (but obviously not quite the £650 odd that you would have paid)

Re: Rare 06 plate 182 what's it worth

I've just bought my first 182 this week.

Deciding factor for me was how well it's been looked after. Mileage and year/plate count for very little.

The one I bought had belts and dephaser done by a main dealer, original manuals/MOT's/bills in a special folder the owner kept, FSH, replaced the exhaust and cat recently, engine mount done, decent branded tyres all round - I paid £3100 for it. Some would say I payed over the odds, But it hopefully shouldn't need anything doing for a while.

Re: Rare 06 plate 182 what's it worth

Its worth the same as a 2004 182 in my opinion.

I don't see the relevance of living up north and deducting £500 as opposed to living south and adding £500 LOL.

Re: Rare 06 plate 182 what's it worth

It was built in late 2004 sat in a field for two years then stuck an 06 plate on it.

Re: Rare 06 plate 182 what's it worth

Details?

LOL at -£500 +£500

I didn't even think that needed elaborating lol...

I'm not saying it's the same magnitude, nor am I suggesting a car is actually worth more/less, but it's clear from looking at prices on here, AT, PH etc that generally a similar car has a very high chance of going for less at opposite ends of the country.

Mine is a similar spec to Emma's, I think 3k would be a better starting point.

I'll probably be better off selling the Recaro's separate, lots of people tend to do that.
