Hi everyone.
I've been looking at buying a 182 for a while so been looking round the usual places. Anyway, my mate found one for sale the other day and told me about it. It's a 2004 RB FF 182 with approximately 33k miles.
The asking price is £6.4k. While I know the seller can advertise for what he likes, this seems overpriced IMO. What do you guys think?

Must have missed it when I was looking through earlier.
It is a very nice car, but is it worth getting at that price, when there are some of similar age/not much more mileage (albeit not RB colour) coming up on PH for less.
Basically, I'm just trying to get my head round values for mileage/age.

You (usually) pay a premium for a good car (RB is the best colour). The price of used vehicles, like that 182, are going up. But with anything, it's what someone is willing to pay for it.
Make an offer and work towards a compromise with the selling, but set a price you'd be willing to pay for it in your head before you start.

Cheers. Yeah I know what you mean, especially about RB being the best colour. When searching on PH, anything in that price I've generally just briefly looked and moved on, but with the RB there's something that keeps me coming back and looking.

Just wondered if anyone had any idea how much my car is worth?? Just wanted a rough idea before i took it to a dealer and they ripped me off!!
It's a 03plate 172 Cup.... 76000 miles, FSH, runs perfectly, in a great condition!

40,000 miles with Full Service History.
MOT 12/10.
Tax 03/10.
Cambelt/Aux/Tensioner Pulley changed at 32,000 miles (August 2009) with receipt to prove.
K-tec Panel Filter.
K-tec Recessed Supersports exhaust put on in October 2009 with receipt to prove.
4 x Toyo Proxes T1-R replaced November 2009
Passenger side driveshaft replaced last month.
Both Keys present.
Steering wheel in fairly good condition, only slight melting on top and the right-hand side thumbgrip is slightly worn.
Bad Points:
Alloy wheels could do with a refurb as worn at the rim.

Paintwork is in good condition, however could be doing with a polish to bring back to 100%.
Passenger side of the front bumper has a small scratch and the foglight is cracked, old owner explained a trolley went into it at Morrisons.

Its a Silver 182 (2004), only mods are lowered 40mm. All belts and service were done last year by Rentech and its got 76k on the clock.
Thinking about sticking it up for £4700 as I need it gone fairly soon.
Is this a fairly good price for this???

non runner prices
well i seem to be having problem after problem with my car. it was running sweet for 20 months or so then suddenly i've had one problem after another. seems everytime something is fixed another problem appears!
im actually wanting to sell the car (got the trackday bug so want something bigger i can use to tow my bike) and am now considering selling the car as a non runner.
never had to sell a car before so was wondering if anyone could advise how much money i'd be having to drop on the price for the car.
brief spec is its a 2001 ph2 mk2 clio with 56,000 on the clock. belts were changed in 2007 when the car had 29,000 on the clock. wheels could do with a refurb. everything standard bar eibach sportline springs, matched inlets, itg panel filter and a silenced de-cat.
problems are fuel pump is not working. and there's an electrical fault which has been bypassed (electronic control relay wasn't operating, however relay is working).
apart from this its fine.
been looking around and £3500-£3750 seems to be the average for a car of this spec.
are these figures off? or am i in the right ballpack figure?
also taking into account the problems what do you think i could ask for it?

non runner, hard really. But for most people a non runner is a big turn off. But you do have a nice colour and low mileage with belts done.

not full....just bits and pieces.
ive got the car booked in with renault on weds (looks like recovery van will have to bring it unless i can get it fired up) and what im thinking is if i leave it with them it may end up costing hundreds of pounds and subsequently by the time i sell it i lose out on more rather then if i just sold it as a non runner.

I sold my 04 plate 1.2 Dynamique in November, 60,000 on the clock and with a full year's MOT. It sold for £2,550.
You've obviously invested a lot more money into your car though, but my car would have sold to a wider range of custom. I'd say you're looking at about £2,700 at the most perhaps.

Basicly i have a silver 182.
It has every optional extra, Tinted windows, E/W RCL, CC, PS, AS CL/C
it also has the cup wheels and suspention!
Basicly it will not start.
The car is in great condtion inside and out.
It has just had an 8,000mile old engine and gearbox with recipt.
I think theres something up with the engine wiring loom or the key needs recodeing,
Its had lots of work done. New bushes, breaks ect all recipted.
Its an 04 with 70k on the clock.
