New to the forum, joined up as just bought a 53 plate 172 Cup.
In terms of history, had a R5 10 years ago and never quite got over the rush from the speed and excitement that I used to get driving it !
Spent the past 8 years driving a range of non-descript 'safe' cars, and to cut a long story short, went to trade in the latest car (Xsara Picasso!) to buy something cheap to run.
Saw the 172 Cup, had a test drive (tbh I was sold after 20 seconds) and that was that.
Felt like i'd turned back the clock 10 years
Pick it up on Friday, can't bloody wait !!
It's pretty much stock atm, and wil be used on a daily basis. I'm not really one for outlandish kits of over the top styling so will be more interested in performance related changes.
Can't wait to read through the many many threads and posts and to get the hang of the new abbreviations are terminology i'll come across
